clomiPHENE fluoroestradiol F 18

Applies to: clomiphene and fluoroestradiol F 18

Using fluoroestradiol F 18 together with clomiPHENE may reduce the action of fluoroestradiol F 18 in detecting certain types of cancer. Fluoroestradiol F 18 acts as a tracer that collects in cancer cells and is used to look for the spread of some types of breast cancer known as estrogen receptor positive breast cancer, to other parts of the body. ClomiPHENE may interfere with the uptake of fluoroestradiol F 18 into these cancer cells. Talk to your doctor if you have any questions or concerns. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
