MONITOR: Coadministration with inducers of CYP450 1A2 may decrease the plasma concentrations of anagrelide and increase the plasma concentrations of its pharmacologically active metabolite, 3-hydroxy-anagrelide.

MANAGEMENT: Clinical and laboratory monitoring are recommended if anagrelide is used in combination with a CYP450 1A2 inducer. Dose adjustments may also be required.
