Taking aminosalicylic acid with cyanocobalamin may interfere with the absorption of cyanocobalamin taken orally and may lead to reduced amounts of vitamin B12 in the body, which is important for maintaining healthy nerve and red blood cells. You may need more frequent monitoring and/or vitamin B12 supplementation as recommended by your doctor to safely use aminosalicylic acid for longer than one month. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
