GENERALLY AVOID: Data from a randomized trial of altretamine and cisplatin in ovarian cancer indicated that pyridoxine significantly reduced neurotoxicity but also adversely affected response duration. The mechanism of interaction has not been established.

MANAGEMENT: Until further data are available, it may be advisable to avoid using altretamine with pyridoxine.
