Interactions between your drugs

Moderate

chlorhexidine topical allogeneic cultu kerat derm fibr mur col

Applies to: Spectrum-4 (chlorhexidine topical) and allogeneic cultu kerat derm fibr mur col topical

GENERALLY AVOID: Topical agents such as mafenide acetate, chlorhexidine, and silver-containing antimicrobials may impair the integrity and/or viability of allogeneic cultured keratinocytes and dermal fibroblasts. The mechanism of interaction has not been described. Mafenide acetate has been shown to decrease keratinocyte viability and disrupt the integrity of tissue-engineered human skin substitutes containing NIKS(R) keratinocytes or primary keratinocytes. In addition, chlorhexidine solution has been shown to be toxic to keratinocytes and human dermal fibroblasts. Similarly, in vitro data suggest silver-containing antimicrobials may decrease the viability of keratinocytes and human dermal fibroblasts.

MANAGEMENT: Use of topical agents such as mafenide acetate, chlorhexidine, or silver-containing antimicrobials is not recommended following application of allogeneic cultured keratinocytes and dermal fibroblasts.
