Interactions between your drugs
acetaZOLAMIDE dorzolamide ophthalmic
Applies to: acetazolamide and dorzolamide ophthalmic
Talk to your doctor before using dorzolamide ophthalmic together with acetaZOLAMIDE. After dorzolamide ophthalmic is instilled into the eye, the medication can be absorbed into the bloodstream and cause some of the same effects as acetaZOLAMIDE. This can increase the risk and/or severity of side effects like drowsiness, dizziness, numbness or tingling in the hands and feet, ringing in the ears, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. If your doctor does prescribe these medications together, you may need a dose adjustment or regular blood tests to safely use both medications. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
