For Anxiety "This is my 1st day....but WOW! I am compelled to tell everyone! I am 48 and have had depression since about 18. I didn't do anything about it for about 25 years thanks to the stigma. Finally, my brain/body added anxiety to the mix. My depression is well controlled, but I can never quite pin down that stupid anxiety....over NOTHING! When my anxiety is high...I feel a bit floaty and disconnected, my arms feel maybe tingly or numb, my head feels scattered and unable to concentrate, I can practically feel adrenaline or cortisol coursing through me. I take several meds and I am fine with that...I don't want depression! I have clonazePAM...which still works fairly well...I just try not to use it all the time so it remains effective. My anxiety was high today...I had an appt with my psych nurse...she suggested we try 20 MG twice per day of Propranolol as needed. 30 minutes after that first pill...a calm washed over me...I could take deep cleansing breaths..feel my arms...I could think!!!"

For Panic Disorder "For the past three months, I have had severe panic and anxiety attacks which triggered vertigo attacks. These attacks were so severe that I fainted twice, which led to agoraphobia and derealization. I have been in a state of pure panic. I didn’t feel safe anywhere. I called the ambulance and even went to the ER. I felt hopeless that I would never recover. I am deathly afraid of taking any medication, especially antidepressants. My doctor recommended Lexapro, and I couldn’t conjure up the courage to fill the prescription. I came across an article on beta blockers, and in a desperate attempt, I asked my doctor to prescribe them. She did. I was given 20mg of Propranolol, and within 30 minutes, I felt calm. The racing thoughts were still present, the derealization was still present, but my body didn’t react to it anymore. The dark cloud from my brain lifted, and I could think clearly again. It’s worth it! This is day 1 :)"

For Performance Anxiety "I do a lot of public speaking and developed terrible situational performance anxiety during Covid, although I struggled on and off over the years. My primary symptoms were breathlessness and extreme sweating (literally pouring down my face and getting in my eyes). It was terrible, but something I thought I had to live with. Researched the problem and found out about propranolol and what it could do. I talked to my doctor who was happy to prescribe it. Just 10 mg an hour before and I am calm and in control again. Absolutely no sweating or breathlessness. No side effects at that low dose. I highly recommend this medication for performance anxiety."

For Arrhythmia "Hi all, I hope this helps a lot of people I've searched and searched for information about ectopic heart beats, PVCS ,skipped beats what ever you wanna call them.. I'm 31 healthy male and started boxing day 2018 having every day PVCS like really bad daily. Since then to now I've had 2 monitors ehcos and plenty of ECG and discharged from the cardiology twice as they say they are benign. I was put on propranolol started off on 10mg 3x daily then 20mg 3x daily to even 40mg 3x daily when they was at their worse. I still have them every day and they are a pain but propranolol really helps me out so much makes me who I was before these things came along. PVCS really got me down but the grass really is greener you just need to find the balance.. I hope If there are any young people looking for information this helps there are treatments and your not ill there just misfiring like a car engine does all the beat guys"

For Performance Anxiety "Miracle medicine. I'm a surgeon and started taking it during residency for the equivalent of stage fright doing surgery. Over 20 years there is no question of its efficacy (and safety). It has allowed me to do mission trips and complicated procedures under the most stressful situations. I use it less over the years but still do because it still has a very strong calming effect without sedating or clouding the sensorium. It's as close to a miracle medicine as I have every seen."

For Performance Anxiety "I've used this drug PRN for over 10 years now and it is simply a career saver and, as a result, a life saver. Without it, I would not be able to do the job I do nor obviously earn the good money I make to support my family. Prior to being prescribed this medication, I suffered from extreme public speaking and performance anxiety. I would use Diazepam but, while numbing the nerves, I felt that it made me quite dumb. So I would slur and even once nearly fell over, having bumped into some chairs after leaving a meeting room at the conclusion of the meeting. My anxiety was that bad, I used to make up the most lame excuses to avoid even the most rudimentary meetings, and presenting was completely out of the question. I'm positive that I was the office joke. All that changed with this med. I sometimes find myself in my current role presenting to over 100 people. Pffff. Simple these days. I come across polished and confident. Absolutely love it. The only drug I'll ever use."

For Anxiety "My anxiety gets really bad to the point I fear for my health which brings on a panic attack. I was prescribed these but was scared to take in case of bad side effects. I bit the bullet and they worked a treat but stopped taking them after first one due to my mouth and throat becoming really dry to the point it made me cough a little and felt sort of like my throat was closing a little. Anyone else had this side effect and did they stop or carry on?"

For Anxiety "I have had anxiety problems my WHOLE life. I would try to manage as best I could, but after being diagnosed with a chronic pain condition in my late teens, things just got out of control. Whenever I would have a flare-up, I would truly believe I was dying in that very moment, even though I clearly wasn't. One time, my panic attack was so bad my blood pressure was 156/90 and my heart rate was 113!! I am in my 20s and do not have heart problems. Propranolol 20 mg has truly saved me in those moments where I felt out of control. When things got bad, I would take one 20 mg tablet with a full glass of water and just try to breathe. Within 1 hour, the panic attack would always be 100% gone. It has absolutely allowed me to physically calm down and thus mentally calm down as well. It's awesome knowing I have something considered non-addictive that can save my sanity in such terrible moments. I wish you all the best luck on your journey."

For Anxiety "About three months ago my doctor determined I had Bipolar type 2 and prescribed a medication (Vraylar, 3mg) that is also really helping me with the highs and lows of the disorder. After about 3 weeks of taking this med, my levels of anxiety jumped and I became very restless to the point I was pacing the floor. I talked with my doctor about it and he prescribed 80mg of Propranolol. Within an hour the restlessness and anxiety were gone and have been gone over the course of this past week. Even the free-floating anxiety from my Generalized Anxiety Disorder has been reduced from an 8 or 9 to about a 2 or 3 -- without any nasty side-effects (at least so far). I hope it keeps up and I hope this review helps you."

For Anxiety "I have always tried to stay away from meds, but I realized that the trauma I have experienced in my life made it hard for me to deal with relationships & I become anxious to the point where I want to throw up, heart beats insanely fast, constant fight or flight mode. I took this and within an hour, I could talk about my ex without going into a spiral. This is the most amazing feeling, I feel free and although this isn't targeted for mental anxiety, my head feels clear because I don't have all of this adrenaline running through my body. I wish I had found out about this sooner, I feel happy, I feel calm. When I do get into stressful situations, I don't have my body yelling at me to spiral. I can already tell this is going to be life changing. Dose: 20mg in the morning, 20mg at night. No side effects except a little nausea the first 10 mins it starts hitting, then nothing!"

For Anxiety "If you have severe anxiety this is a wonder drug. I was anxious to even take my first dose. I did take it eventually after my GP demanded it. The longer you take it the better the effect. It works by filling the holes your adrenaline fits into to make you anxious. Eventually the adrenaline has nowhere to go and fizzles out. It takes time to work. I could not even take a long car journey without wine. I was so nervous. As the years go on it’s like the drug has covered all the holes adrenaline can enter. I fully recommend it. Give it time and you will see the difference."

For Benign Essential Tremor "I have been taking propranolol for 15 years for a beta blocker for my blood pressure. Then I found out they are also good for my tremors and my anxiety. I take anywhere from 40-80 mg a day. they are the best. I will never go off of them and I had no side effects at all. Right now I am out of them and I am going crazy, since my meds are shipped and they are running a month behind. I am 79 yrs young and I definitely know when I don't have them. I can't hold a bottle of water or go out to dinner."

For Anxiety "Today is my first day using This med. I am 133 pounds and take 10mg 1/day. I took it 1 hr before training. My historical symptoms were shaky voice during public speaking- large groups small groups informal and formal- dry throat wanting to run out the room during round table introductions pounding heart beats felt in my ears, daily heart palpitations, reluctant to apply for promotions , sweating underarms and all over my body, reluctant to drive On highways, considered retiring to avoid public speaking and an overall sense of hopelessness. Anxiety is the worse and it controlled me. Today was a good day. I drove to work no pounding heart beats. I participated in training and introduced myself without shaky voice. AND I didn’t want to run out of the room. I look forward to putting my life back on track. I will write more reviews and look forward to crossing off my symptoms as I continue to use this Medicine. For Anxiety "This tablet has changed my life for the best! Terrible anxiety for years and everything crumbled last Christmas where I could not leave the house without having a panic attack. I wanted to die then cause it was really that out of control. But this tablet has helped me climb out that dark place and gave me hope. Please try this or if you have just started taking it you should feel a lot better soon and some well deserved relief from this horrible condition."

For Performance Anxiety "Even raising my hand in class was something that I feared so much, let alone presentations in front of other people. I tried so many ways to reduce the feeling of flight or flight every time that I'd have to speak but let me tell you, taking a few deep breaths before presenting did absolutely nothing for me. But THIS MEDICATION is like a gift from God. It got rid of my shaky hands, shaky voice, fast heart rate, I could think clearly and although you can still get a little nervous in your head none of the symptoms show and speaking goes so smoothly! It makes me want to sign up for every presentation ever...seriously. SO glad I found out about it :)"

Inderal (propranolol) for Benign Essential Tremor "I started experiencing severe tremors as a side effect of other meds. At first I could not brush my teeth, then I had problems typing, next I could not feed myself or even hold a cup of coffee, finally I had bouts of tremors so bad that I could not even walk. I finally ended up seeing a neurologist who once he saw the problem and the severity he immediately prescribed Inderal. Within a week virtually all of my tremors had stopped and I was immensely relieved. I experienced no side effects at all. I have been on them for 7 years now and I only slightly shake if get really tired or drink too much coffee. All in all - I would highly recommend this medication for anyone with severe tremors."

For Anxiety "I have been taking propranolol for 5 years and it's been a great. I suffer from extreme anxiety and I must say this drug has changed my life. I can now live life to the full without worrying about what people think about me. It's not ideal to have to take drugs to make you feel normal but without this drug I wouldn't be able to cope."

For Performance Anxiety "Why is this not a listed anxiety drug!!! I have tried therapy to no avail and this drug saved my career. My job involves presenting, however, I developed pre-covid a crippling response when I stand to introduce myself. A severe rush of adrenaline, every inch of me screaming RUN RUN RUN. Sweaty, shaky, unable to speak or breathe, heart pounding. The feeling was terror. I unfortunately ran out of a big presentation in front of the board and had to leave my old job. I then found propranolol and all symptoms gone when I pop a 40mg pill 1h then 30min before. Lucky I found it when I did."

For Performance Anxiety "Finding this thread and getting a script for Propranolol has literally given me back my confidence when presenting and saved my career! I never had an issue public speaking, until a bad episode 3 years ago crippled my confidence. Since then, I've been promoted to a very senior level in a tech organization and regular speaking is required. I would dread having to give a talk for weeks in advance—feel sick at the idea and wonder if those symptoms would present themselves again. I have used it 3 times in the last month for 3 big presentations and I nailed every single one! I'm even happier around the office because now I can just focus on my material and know I can relax when I get up to speak. I wasted 3 years on therapy and all sorts, when this was a last shot at the dice, I'm so grateful for how it has helped me."

For Panic Disorder "After waking up with panic attacks more days than not lately, my doctor and I tried sertraline for a few months with no success. I got a prescription for Ativan from the ER, which is a miracle drug, but obviously wanted something else for a long-term solution. I asked my doctor what he thought about a beta blocker and he was onboard and gave me 60 mg of the extended release formula (the lowest extended release dose) so it would be in my blood 24-7. I’ve only been on it a couple of days, but I love it so far! I actually did wake up in the middle of the night last night feeling anxious, but my heart wasn’t racing! I kind of laughed because my body was almost unable to produce a panic attack, and went back to sleep. Today I went to the gym for the first time in forever and was able to get my heart rate up to 120, but it didn’t feel like it was going to beat out of my chest."

For Anxiety "After 2 weeks of shakes, shivers, sweating bucketloads, wanting to jump out from my own skin from sickening restlessness, palpitations, chestpain, nausea and 2 weeks of herbal remedies which helped ziltch. My GP put me on 40mg Propranolol. And lo and behold sweating sickness with shakes and shivers stopped, I am able to concentrate and looks like I finally will be able to have a decent night’s sleep! Ps: I can’t take SSRIs and definitely don’t want benzo’s thus this is perfect for me thus far. Plus it protects heart from a heart attack which is very likely due to strong family history at the young age. + treats migraine. 3 birds shot with one tablet and feels like I won the lottery :)"

For Anxiety "what gives you that anxiety feeling is you being like OMG then your mind tells your body to release adrenaline. The adrenaline is that stressed out feeling. The propranolol stops you adrenal gland from producing adrenaline. This fixed the anxiety. The facts not opinions"

For Performance Anxiety "Used inderal recently for a best man speech as I suffer terribly with anxiety and panic attacks. Words cannot describe how well this worked for me. I was still mentally nervous, but physically I was in complete control with no stutter, breathing problems/heart palpitations. I actually enjoyed it and I could have spoken all night. For Anxiety "I'm a 24 year old male and self employed builder and 2 months ago out of the blue I started suffering from crippling anxiety and anxiety attacks, I nearly become agoraphobic, after battling on for 2 long months I finally went to the doctor and after refusing medication the first time i decided I needed help, even though I had been doing private CBT etc it didn't help, any way my doctor prescribed me propranolol and my God it was such a relief within an hour I said "hang on a minute I feel normal and couldn't worry if you payed me". It's brilliant:-D. If your suffering from anxiety etc this is a life saver."

For Anxiety "There is a easy fix to anxiety and it’s called benzodiazepines e.g diazepam, barely any side affects and will fix your anxiety half an hour after taking it , but because of all the people that abused it now doctors don’t give it out too easily, my experience with propranolol was absolutely horrible it made my anxiety worse and I felt horrible for 2-3 days. I thought I was going to die, and I am used to taking Valium but propranolol was the only thing he offered so I though I would give it a try , horrible. My doctor sounds like he hasn’t even finished school , sounds uneducated, doctors will give out the worst tablets (with worst side effects ) like sweets , but the real stuff that does the job and has very minimal side effects they do not want to give out too easily, propranolol had over 20 serious side effects and I had over half of them , it made my anxiety worse . This is why millions of people have to self medicate because doctors are not giving people what they need"
