I have a meniscus Synvisc likely to help? My ortho gives it relatively low marks and wants to do surgery. Doesn't seem like there's much risk to trying though.

I assume the muli-shot protocols are more effective but I wonder by how much. Just completed my 2nd six month interval of 3 shots of orthovisc. Would very much prefer one shot ever 6 month. Assume there must be a down side to synvisc-one or everyone would get it.

this is my 3rd year using synvisc. they worked great first two years but this year, my left knee got very swollen. Should I risk using it again? Strangely, my right knees was fine. there was no infection (had bacterial tests done on the fluid from swollen joint).
