A physician had mentioned to me that our bones need time to repair themselves after being on EVISTA for a long period of time, and then he suggested that I speak with my OBGYN about this issue. I have been taking EVISTA, daily, for about 15 yrs.
I took, I think it was Evista, steroid dose pack, will methylprednisolone give me the same reaction?

I have had pain in the right leg for some time now. It appears with use of alendronate (Fosamax), and Evista. Any recommendation for a drug for osteoporosis that would not have this debilitating effect? I am included in the four percent who suffer this side effect with use of Fosamax.

ie: it's reported after 5 yrs fosamax if not longer effective and should be discontinued. At a Women's Health Seminar, a gyn told us that fosamax was found to no longer be effective after 5 years of use. Does this hold for all medications in this category or just the fosamax?
