Can I take cytomel and metropolal together?

I have been on beta blockers atenolol for 25 years and armor thyroid for two years . Thyroid meds have always given me palpitations. New doctor changed to cytomel 5 mcg twice a day and metropolal ER 1 time a day. I now have severe chest pain so cytomel was reduced. But still having problems.
