Broad-spectrum anthelmintic for the treatment of parasitic infections in cattle due to the adult stage of liver flukes (Fasciola hepatica), the adult stage of tapeworms (Moniezia benedeni), gastric worms (the adult stage of Haemonchus placei and Trichostrongylus axei, and the adult, L4 and inhibited L4 stage of Ostertagia ostertagi), intestinal worms (adult and L4 stage of Cooperia oncophora, C. punctata and C. pectinata, and the adult stage of Trichostrongylus colubriformis, Bunostomum phlebotomum, Nematodirus helvetianus, and Oesophagostomum radiatum), and the adult and L4 stage of lungworms (Dictyocaulus viviparus).Valbazen* Dosage And Administration
A single oral dose of 4 mL per 45 kg of body weight (equivalent to 10 mg of albendazole per kg), administered using a dosing gun or dose syringe. Under conditions of continued exposure to parasites, retreatment may be required.The 1 L format contains enough medication to treat 50 x 225 kg animals.
Warning
Treated animals must not be slaughtered for use in food for at least 27 days after the latest treatment with this drug. Because a withdrawal time for milk has not been established, do not use in female dairy cattle of breeding age. Keep out of reach of children.Valbazen* Caution
Do not administer to female cattle during the first 21 days of pregnancy, or for 21 days after the removal of bulls. Consult your veterinarian for assistance in the diagnosis, treatment, and control of cattle parasitism.Storage
