For Psoriasis "Been fighting psoriasis for over 40 years. Topical creams and ointments only slow the progress. I have tried it all. Remicaid, methyltrexate, Enbrel, Hira, and Otezla (last one made me shut-in due to severe diarrhea) I have also used UV light, coal products for years, ointments, creams, soaking baths with Dead Sea Salts, oatmeal and Epsom salt. The only thing that gives me relief is cortisone injections. My last doctor used 1cc Depomedrol and 1cc of Kenalog (40 mg/cc). I was good for 4 - 6 months and major eruptions would clear in about 7 days. But, then it going stopped almost immediately. My doctor retired recently and my new younger doctor thinks that is unethical. So, now I am looking for a doctor who is a little more experienced. Already lost a knee to psoriatic arthritis. Want to limit it to that."

For Atopic Dermatitis "This injection is amazing for major flare-ups that are not controllable by atopic creme. I had a shot a year ago and it cleared up my skin completely within 4 days. I stayed clear for a year exactly before my next flare-up and I went back for this same injection. Highly recommend for relief and the embarrassment of the flare-ups."

For Psoriasis "I have severe psoriasis on my palms. The itch is so uncomfortable, it feels like fire ants going nuts under the thick layers of leathery skin. My hands were constantly cracked and bleeding due to the uncontrollable scratching. I’ve tried every cream and ointment known to mankind as I’ve had this condition for the past 18 years. I’ve also tried UV light therapy, Methotrexate and 2 biologics. Nothing has helped in the slightest. I recently found a Dermatologist who gave me Kenalog injections and finally some relief!!! I had about 20 injections in each palm which wasn’t exactly pleasant but man was it worth it!! A few days after I was finally itch free! I was told the affects will last for 3-6 months then I’ll have to get another round. Fine by me, I’ll do this forever if need be!"

For Psoriasis "I find kenalog injection is the ONLY thing that works on my hands & feet that has an insatiable severe itch. Within about a week and a half after the injection, the lesions stop & my hands/feet start to heal. I've taken everything from methotrexate up to Stelera - nothing has worked! I'm almost 50 and have had psoriasis since I was 5."

For Psoriasis "I have had psoriatic plaques foe nearly 17 years. The itch can sometimes be insane and as I'm sure many here would at least imagine, has caused me to take drastic actions to quell it. The only way I have explained it is that the itch is well below the skin and the thick plaques make it impossible to reach. I love getting the injections for two reasons. First as many have said it quiets outbreaks faster and more efficiently than almost anything I've ever uses. Second and I know this may sound weird but having that sharp needle press into itchy skin feels incredible. Then followed by the medicine (kenalog) saturating the itchy area. I get it every four months"

For Atopic Dermatitis "I was diagnosed with eczema. When I scratched the skin just rolled off. Underneath was red bloody raw skin. The scales would heal over it but the skin under raw. My feet and body swelled. The tropicals only made my rashes itch and dried them more. Finally I found a Dr who prescribed Kenolog 10. I had stopped being able to wear shoes or heels. Anything that bound my feet swelled and it itched for hours. The Kenolog 10 almost immediately stopped these reactions. After about 3 weeks the itching was barely there. My skin began to heal. My Dr gave me injections once every 6 weeks. After a month and a half I could wear shoes again and my skin was clear. I had to change my Dr. My new Dr wouldn't give me the injections. It's been about two years since I have stopped the injections. My eczema has spread and I am constantly itching scratching off the new scaly skin until it bleeds. I haven't been able to find a Dr who will give me the medicine"

For Atopic Dermatitis "I got this shot after my hands turned unrecognizable from pain and eczema. I struggle with this all the time in every season. I could not believe how much Kenalog helped me. It erased all signs of eczema in a little over a week. I went back to the doctor just to THANK her for this. I would give it a 10 but its not perfect. It began to come back (though not nearly as severe) about six weeks later. It will definitely get you over the uncontrollable outbreaks."

For Atopic Dermatitis "I've had dermatitis for 16 years. It started as mild eczema on my hands but within a year it went from mild to wild! Woke up one morning and both my forearms were swollen, red, itching, burning and leaking fluid when pushed against. 3 pitting edema. From that point on over the next few years, it spread to my torso, legs, back, scalp and face. Topical creams no longer worked, I was put on prednisone dose packs, but over time, prednisone was causing terrible side effects i.e., moon face, hyperglycemia, depression, agitation, oral thrush etc. I was then put on Kenalog 40mg every 3-4 weeks but then Kenalog created new side effects. Now I have to take 80mg of Kenalog and methotrexate. Works but my life is a wreck."

For Psoriasis "I got the kenalog injection for my sinuses and it was a nice surprise to have it clear up my scalp psoriasis. I had never been able to wear dark shirts and it constantly itches. It’s embarrassing. But now after a week or so it goes away for 6 months. This last time a new pa informed me of bone density being affected by the shot. But weighing the options right now the shot is worth it. I’m 49 and suffered for years and years"

For Psoriasis "I have been getting Kenalog injections for over 30 years and it has been amazing. It now helps with psoriatic arthritis but I do suffer some of the side affects like a mild cough, severe indigestion (apple cider vinegar keeps it in check) and swelling of the ankles. I am thankful this worked for me even with the side affects having had severe outbreaks since I was 10 up in my 30’s until I found my dermatologist."

"I used to get a shot of this for my psoriasis, and it did clear up everything in less than a week, However I found that the lesions returned within a few months (3). I was advised to not get the kenalog shots more than twice a year because I have a slightly higher enzyme count in my liver."

For Psoriasis "I have suffered with severe psoriasis since 1995. Creams and ointments are ineffective and very impractical as I tend to have flares involving most of my body, feet and hands being the worst. I’ve had many injections of Kenalog over the years and it is highly effective. I generally get rebound about 4 to 5 weeks after the injection and dampen that with hydroxyzine. Last year after my first Covid booster I started a severe cycle of flaring. Most dermatologists will not give Kenalog any more, and as a result I’ve spiraled into a very severe case. I had to look up my old dermatologist 600 miles away and drive there for an injection. As I expected I started to get relief from itching and clearing of my symptoms within 6 hours. It’s going to take 2 more injections to get 100% clear. I’m my case Kenalog is amazing, it’s cheap and highly effective. I’ve tried Skyrizi (expensive) and light treatment as well and nothing works like Kenalog"

"I too had a injection of Kenalog 10 in my face. After the first 3 weeks I noticed a dime size dent on my cheek. Called the doctor who did the injection, came back to the office. But before that, I researched the internet and found a link where 4 people had a kenalog injection got saline injected in the same spot the kenalog was and could possibly help flush out or decrease the efrects of kenalog working its full term of 6 weeks. I showed the doctor this link on this study and he agreed maybe saline which acts like water can help. This study showed 4 people went every week for 8 weeks & had them same amount of saline injected in the area. All 4 people had great results. "

For Eczema "I received no more than 3 Kenalog 10 injections in 2 years to help with eczema flare ups. 2 years after my last injection, my tissue and muscle showed wasting at the injection site. Since this site was my glute it was incredibly painful to sit and contributed to other pains and aches due to overcompensation. I had to receive Platelet Rich Plasma treatment to rejuvenate tissue and muscle growth in the area. Proceed with caution."

For Eczema "I've had eczema with blisters only on my hands for over 15 years and I'm now 74. Kenalog injections is only med that clears up the skin of peeling itching burning in days. My dermatologist tried various types of creams with little relief over the years. He indicated season chances plus stress is probably the main cause of my flare up every 6 to 8 months. He indicated there is no known cure. He indicated several of his patients get regular kenalog injections for similar conditions."

For Psoriasis "I have had psoriasis since I was 20, so its been 18 years. Recently, no ointments have been working for the psoriasis on my leg. It has been 3 days since my first Kenalog shots, and the plaque already look 35% better. It is still a little itchy, but no where near where it was before. I go back in 3 weeks to potentially have another set of injections if I need them. My skin was already hyperpigmented from other steroid ointments so I do not know if my skin will get darker yet or not."

"I used enough to just cover the ulcerated area, once nightly. It usually cleared up within a week. I suffered no side effects and it was very easy to use. It's not a permanent condition, but I do get the occasional recurrence."

"I have a very severe allergy to pecan and hickory pollen which represents about 40% of trees in my area. My doctor gave me this because three antihistamines, a nasal spray, and two inhalers couldn't control my symptoms. Unfortunately it didn't do much except make me tired and moody. My allergies are just as bad and my asthma is about to land me in the hospital."

"I find this injection to be highly effective. I suffer from joint pain and stiffness, which Kenalog helps with. The only drawback is the appetite enhancement and resulting weight gain. Maybe an appetite suppressant should be prescribed alongside it."
