"I'm 54 and have experienced increasing ED problems over the past 2 years. In November I was diagnosed with early stage prostate cancer and also have BPH which is the cause of my ED. I'm not having any treatment beyond active surveillance and luckily have only mild symptoms (increase in frequency but that's it. No night time disturbance, etc). Annual health screening detected the cancer / BPH. Started taking daily 5mg Tadalafil in November and the results are superb. No side effects, except when combined with alcohol I sometimes get a stuffy nose. Erections are very strong and sex is very pleasurable again. (Being circumcised it does seem to flare out the glans a bit more.) I've also seen a reduction in frequency of urination. Really pleased with the drug which working well for me."

"Diagnosed with BPH few years ago, I'm 54, and have tried several medicines (mainly Alpha Blockers), it does work but with a lot of side effects, my urologist suggested Tadalafil, and it is working very well by reducing symptoms of frequent urination urge during night, better flow of urine, and iron erection. Double Jackpot."

"Was waking up once or twice a night to urinate, and had to go frequently during day. Had all the typical symptoms of BPH... Insurance would not cover Cialis, but got 20mg Tadalafil tablets from Canada, and cut them in 4 pieces, for an approximate dose of 5mg per day. Works like a charm! I can now go normal intervals between bathroom breaks, and the 5mg dose seems to make sex last longer. A win-win situation!"

Cialis (tadalafil) "Was considering surgery for BPH. Had significant problems urinating. Was already on Flomax, wasn’t helping much. Just one day after starting 5mg Tadalafil symptoms improved significantly. After several days I experienced what others mentioned - low back and thigh pain. That was resolved by Tylenol and ibuprofen. That symptom gradually diminished after a couple weeks so don’t give up right away. There will be some symptoms from vascular congestion but most are minor and worth it for the relief of BPH symptoms."

Cialis (tadalafil) "This started 8 months ago. I have urgency all day and most days urinating almost hourly or less than. The doctor did the finger check and said your prostate checks out as in the normal range approx. 30mm. But with my symptoms and age 60+, Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) was likely. The doctor put me on 5mg daily. After 2+ months on this, it’s hardly changed my symptoms. I can go an hour but only had 3 days of making it past 1.5 hrs between bathroom trips. But the wife enjoys the obvious benefits. As for my BPH, it really has only made a small difference. I have had no major side effects. I give it 5 stars for good sex, and 3 stars for BPH thus the average is 4"

"My doctor recommended Tadalafil at 2.5 mg day for BPH. I was previously tried other meds without success. Prior to Tadafil, I was getting up 3-4 times a night to pee and if I had an urge while standing, I could not avoid leaking urine. After I took Tadafil, my night frequency was reduced to once, even no need to get up to urinate. I have started to sleep through the night which has provided me more energy during the. day. My erections became much stronger and that is a problem, since my wife has become asexual since menopause."

"I'm, 60 and noticed BPH symptoms. A consultant confirmed this and tried me on Tamulosin (cheap!!). My body couldn't get on with Tamulosin (dizzy, reduced semen volume, retro-ejaculation). Tried Tadalafil (5mg daily). After three days, had indigestion/heartburn and lower back/upper leg ache. Stopped taking on the 4th day and by 5th day, I was ok again. Decided to take Tadalafil for two days then stop for third day, etc. did this for a week. This worked well - little heartburn, no back pain. I risked taking the drug daily again and was ok! Now been taking for 3weeks - very little indigestion, no back pain. I don't have urgency to pee and often don't need to get up at night. Not sure how long it takes for the drug to have optimum effect but ok after 3 weeks!! Still have reduced semen volume (from the Tamulosin) and numerous nocturnal erections! - just like being a lad again!! I pay 8.80GBP (standard National Health charge) per month for a month's supply."

"Cialis 5 mg works great for me for my Benign Prostatic Hyperlasia. I have tried all the other medicines for BPH but none of them worked. A daily dose of 5 mg greatly improved my symptoms. Sometimes, I don't use it on a daily basis, just take it occasionally, and it still works like a charm. "

"My BPH symptoms were getting worse over the last 10 years and when I started to pee 5 times/night it was time to do something. I've been on 2.5 mg tadalafil for 2 months and am down to 1 time/night and occasionally even sleep through the night."

"Taking a daily 5mg dose for both BPH and ED symptoms. No side effects in general apart from very occasional heartburn. Erections are strong and I feel like a teenager again. I’m circumcised high and tight too and noticed the glans is more flared and sensitive. Post-ejaculation my erections linger for a while which is nice too. On the BPH side my LUTS symptoms are fine - no nocturnal disturbance and daytime flow/frequency is very manageable. (I’ve early stage prostate cancer which is being managed via active surveillance.). Highly recommend giving this drug a go if you have ED and/or BPH issues."

"I am 55 years old and I have BPH 5 years. In the beginning I was taking tamsulosin but after few years I started to have abnormal ejaculation. I read effects of tamsulosin and I was thinking it is not other way. I was talking with my doctor and I was complaining and he prescribed me tadalafil and now I am happy."

"I’m using this medicine for an enlarged prostate. I’m on 2.5 mg to see if I get any side effects. So far, the only side effect I noticed is it makes me slightly tired . The other medication I tried either didn’t help or the side effects I couldn’t stand. So far so good . And it helps my ED also."

"I have been taking various Benign Prostate Hyperplasia medicines, Cardura is the most recent and is the only one that does not cause as severe retro-ejaculation. My urologist put me on daily Cialis and my ejaculations have greatly improved and my frequency of urination at night also has improved. Only problem is my insurance will only prescribe 24 capsules which they consider a 90 day supply. I can get Viagra 10 mg which 24 capsules will last several months."

"It works (5mg) VERY, VERY well for BPH! BUT I'm paying $270 every month because there's no generic, so I've had to skip doses or refills because I cannot afford to pay 270 bucks a month on top of all my other medicine! When I do skip a month ALL of my symtoms of BPH return with a vengeance. Too bad Medicare won't pay part of it, nor will my Blue Cross Blue Shield of Nebraska! My brother has BPH & he pays $70 thri Gotta figure it out why mines not covered"

"It worked well for my Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) and Erectile dysfunction the few times I took it. However, it made my sleep apnea worse even though I use a CPAC machine. I was really hoping this would work."

"Been having urinary problems for a while now and had been prescribed Flomax (Tamsulosin) which helped some. I consulted my doctor who added a prescription for Tadalafil, the generic of Cialis. I was familiar with Cialis for ED but never knew it was effective for an enlarged prostate. I was prescribed 5mg which has been amazingly effective with a vast improvement the next day. Rarely have to get up during the night, usually for another issue. I can choose to go rather than have to go, returning multiple times to dribble out a little more till I’ve emptied enough for another hour or so. Now it’s one trip and good for several hours even when drinking my morning coffee. One side effect I’m experiencing is back/thigh pain. Tylenol and one ibuprofen relieves this. I’ve continued Flomax, the two together have been proven to be more effective. I reduced the Tadalafil to ½ tab to see if the back pain diminishes and if it is still effective."

"I have had intense cramp like symptoms in the right mid back area 24x7 for many months.Had x rays, scans and lots of physio but nothing has helped or shown up. Feels internal as no pain is generated by pushing on the skin. Could it be a side effect of Tadalafil 5mg? Don't want to stop using Tadalafil as its helping with the BPH."
