For Depression "I have been on Zoloft 100MG for the last 3 years. It has been a life saver for me. Before Zoloft everyone kept telling me I was depressed and experiencing anxiety. I didn't believe them. I thought that was just me. Then at my doctors strong recommendation I started with the Zoloft. It did make me tired at first but I continued to take it and am so glad I did. I no longer have crying spells or lay in bed not wanting to get up. I no longer freak out(as my kids would say) or obsess about small things that really didn't matter. I no longer have a short fuse. I am calm, relaxed, nice, and very happy. I cannot imagine my life without Zoloft. Zoloft has made me a much better mom and person."

For Panic Disorder "I promised myself after reading so many reviews that I’d come back and leave one myself, but I’ve been doing so good I almost forgot. I was so nervous about starting this drug. Last January my anxiety had gotten absolutely debilitating; I was having panic attacks nearly every day. I truly couldn’t imagine ever feeling good again. And I was so scared to start taking this. I started and stopped maybe 3 times before sticking with it. I’m so glad I did. If you’re reading this, and you’re nervous about starting, and you’ve been scouring reviews online to try and convince yourself, consider this your sign! Life is tough but it doesn’t have to be. Good luck out there friends ❤️"

For Depression "My doctor prescribed this for depression issues/severe anxiety associated with adult ADD. I was very resistant to try, have been put on multiple other meds that made things much worse. I take 50mg daily. Immediately felt almost "euphoric." With each passing day, I feel better in every sense, and the anxiety is gone. I NEVER write any posts EVER, but this has been an unbelievable game changer. I have been battling these issues since childhood, and I can truly say I feel happy and hopeful about my future. The "internal storm" inside that I battled every day to cope with is gone. No side effects except for some vivid, strange dreams-but those are dissipating. I hope this helps someone-if this one doesn't help, keep trying and never give up."

For Depression "I literally felt something happy the first day. I'm not kidding. I took my first pill at 6:15 am....at/around 10:00am, I felt like I couldn't complete a sentence without thinking really hard about it... Then noon came, I got off early from work...I came home, and felt fantastic. I felt good. I'm very intune with my body. I can tell if I'm getting a cold sore days before I get one, and I can tell this/that just by taste in my mouth, or how I smell something. I take other meds, but this one, Zoloft, I actually felt something positive the first day. I believe this is going to be good for me. I used to take Paxil CR, but if I didn't take it absolutely on time, or whatever,...I was off for a week (or in jail).. no, I'm not kidding, my depression has taken me places you don't wanna know... My experience today is that I actually feel happier than I have in months... I guess I'm lucky that way! :)"

For Social Anxiety Disorder "some of the reason people complain about zoloft/sertraline and say it doesn't work? 3 reasons: - They didn't increase dosage when it wasn't working - They took it for too short time - They got prescribed drug, that doesn't fit them or their illness I suffered from social anxiety disorder since childhood and for me zoloft started working after more than 1 MONTH, and after 3x increased dosage than at the beginning. When did I know it had started working? It was like a switch, from day to day. I just was this feeling that now I don't have this "everyone is watching and judging me". I still have it sometimes and that's why I'm in psychoterapy (which is also very helpful), but Zoloft changed my life maybe not totally, but it definitely helps but PLEASE GIVE IT SOME TIME, if something doesn't work for 2 weeks, DON'T GIVE UP and increase dosage. If drug doesn't work then increase the dose again, if it doesn't working after 2 months, just ask your doctor for another drug, keep trying and DON'T GIVE UP."

For Social Anxiety Disorder "On Zoloft for Generalized Anxiety Disorder. The first few weeks were honestly so bad. I had such bad brain fog, more anxiety, depression, wanted to sleep all the time, etc. I couldn’t eat and lost about 7 pounds within a few weeks. Things were not looking good but I pushed through it. One morning I woke up and my life had been changed. I found out what it was like to feel like everything would be okay. I am so happy I take this medicine and I recommend it for anxiety if you’re willing to push through the beginning. I have a new view on life and it feels so good."

For Depression "I have been taking Zoloft for several months. I have IBS which flares up when I'm anxious, and Zoloft really helps with that. It has very few side effects and I feel more like myself when I'm taking Zoloft. I do have one small complaint: when I miss a few consecutive doses I tend to get dizzy. But that's it! Other than that, I have no issues with Zoloft. It's very subtle, and it certainly has improved my mood."

For Post Traumatic Stress Disorder "About 8 months ago, I began a battle with post-traumatic stress and major depressive disorder. Traumas from years past that I had never faced resurfaced and turned my life upside down. I wasn't sleeping or eating. At one point, I went nearly forty hours without sleep and was considering taking my own life. I suffered terrible panic attacks and had nonstop intrusive thoughts. This went on for months until I started on Zoloft about 13 weeks ago at 50 mg. I noticed a minor improvement over the next 5 weeks. At 100 mg, I noticed much more progress over the next five weeks. Presently, I am at 150 mg and have noticed a major difference. What I found is that Zoloft slows the intrusive thoughts and allows me to access the things I work on in therapy and actually apply them, whereas before, the emotions were too much. This medication takes time to work. I read these reviews during my hardest times, and it really helped me stay positive. Stay strong. Keep working. It gets better. I promise."

For Depression "I've been taking Zoloft for 8 years. It has created stability in my life. Prior to taking medication I always felt off...anxious, depressed, emotional, dwelling of things and this interfered with the quality of my life as well as affected my relationship and professional life. I take 50mg and I feel even keeled and normal instead of a basket case of emotion. Nobody would ever know I'm taking a medication and I'm often complimented on my temperament. I feel neutral, in control of my feelings and everything is within normal range. If you are overly emotional, anxious, feel off balance and have difficulty feeling consistent in your life...this could help. I feel content and normal now."

For Depression "I am a 34-year-old woman who has been living with depression since I was 12. Depression had me feel like I was Atlas (from Greek mythology) with a lifetime of struggle to roll a boulder uphill. Initially, I was against the idea of being on an anti-depressant. I finally caved in when a break-up threw me into a tail spin of never ending crying and sadness. At the doctor's office, he forewarned me that the first 6 weeks are going to tough and to brave the storm until the medication builds up in my system. I had 3 weeks of side effects that had me feeling more depressed and fatigued. However, I got through it and my life has changed for the better. Presently, I am more outgoing and actually feel like a " normal" person again. I am finally truely and sincerely happy, and have gained more friends because of that. If you are thinking about trying this medication but are still unsure, take the risk. I can't describe how great it is to finally have your life back."

For Social Anxiety Disorder "I feel so obligated to leave a review. I was sitting where you are now almost 4 weeks ago. I was terrified after reading the reviews, however I knew I needed help. I had postpartum depression and let it go unchecked for a long time. When that seemed to subside, I was hit with debilitating anxiety that really started to rob me of my life. I had severe insomnia as a result. I started on 25mg for a week, then went up to 50mg where I am currently at now. It was a very difficult med to get on. I had increased anxiety, panic, still fought insomnia. After about two and half weeks and help from my family, I felt like the world felt brighter. Everyday since has been getting better. I can’t tell you enough that if you can weather the first 2-3 weeks, you will not regret it. I am getting back to my old self and it feels so good. I am so thankful, and feeling so blessed. You got this!"

For Depression "Teenage son was on Lexapro then Zoloft gradual transition of 10mg lexapro + 50 mg Zoloft for 2 weeks then 3rd 50mg of Zoloft. Next 3 weeks, was totally insane with side effects. Week 3, Zoloft increase to 100 mg with 50 mg of Seroquel for sleeping. We were wondered if Zoloft making everything worst, but we hung in there. So glad we did; by week 4 seem like everything reach an equilibrium point; it was like - my gosh what is happening...the depression, anxiety, compulsive behavior went from a 10 to a 3. He was able to control & process thoughts, listen to advice, paused more to think things through before his responses, in general very talkative about everything. Something totally wonderful happened the 4th week and continues to this day. He is now receptive to knowing the Zoloft medication has pulled him thru a very dark place and now voluntarily open to continue therapy. For us the Zoloft medication is working. Yes, it did take time & a lot of patience to see the results."

For Postpartum Depression "I’ve been dealing with anxiety and intrusive thoughts pretty much my whole life. After my first baby, my anxiety got really bad. The sleepless nights didn’t help and the general stress of it all. I had never taken an antidepressant because I was a very happy person aside from my anxiety. Once I started Zoloft it took about a month for me to feel the affects. I’m currently on 50 mg of Zoloft and my anxiety is so much better. I wake up so much happier and now, I can focus on being a good mom and being present. I really recommend this to anyone who is dealing with anxiety and obsessive thinking. Just to note, don’t stop taking the medication if your anxiety increases. The first few weeks were really hard. It’s just your mind adjusting to the drug and playing tricks on you. Stick with it. I promise it really helps."

For Depression "This medication has changed my life. I used to feel depressed all the time, no motivation to reach any goals, leaving house was impossible, honestly no desire to live life. After 9 months on it I can say I am happy again. I’m laughing at silly things again, I wake up early and want to go outside and LIVE. I’m exercising all the time, meeting friends. Loving life again. I heard someone saying the other day “the worst thing you can do is depend on medication”. Mate I’ll tell you just once, the worst thing IN THE WORLD is to live depressed. Please give yourself permission to use this as a tool for the time that you need. Living life depressed is the worst possible thing and it steals amazing opportunities you could have in life. Depression changes your personality for the worst. I hope that if you’re still wondering if it’s worth it or not to give this a shot, you go for it. Even if it doesn’t work for you and you keep looking for a better fit. Things do get better❤️"

For Depression "I went to the doctor for anxiety and was prescribed Lexpro which has worked in the past for me, but for some reason it didn’t work this time. The doctor had me stop Lexpro immediately and start 25 mg of Zoloft. I started on 25 mg and increased over the next 4 weeks to 150mg. Let me just say the next few weeks was horrible and reading these reviews encouraged me and made me want to push through. I skipped over all the bad reviews to stay focus. I took Xanax at night just to help sleep but just bared through the day with nothing. I had lost 27 pounds in 5 weeks. I was beginning to think it wasn’t going to work. On the 5th week I got up and couldn’t walk. Let me just say I felt a big difference going into the 6 week. The medicine finally kicked in. God heals by miracles and by medicine"

For Major Depressive Disorder "Zoloft saved my life. During my pregnancy, I started experiencing severe anxiety and depression. I was throwing up every single day, missing work, withdrawing from life. I had panic attacks from the time I woke up until the time I went to bed. I dreaded and feared waking up every day and having to just be alive again. I felt hopeless, miserable, worthless. It got to the point where I genuinely had urges to hurt myself and thought it would be better if I just died. Cue Zoloft. I started on 50 mg, and within about two weeks noticed small improvements in my energy, but still felt extremely low and incapable. I spent HOURS on this forum looking for the motivation to keep pushing. Things gradually improved over the weeks, and after about 6 weeks on Zoloft, I woke up one morning and just realized...I felt like me again. I wasn't hopeless. I wasn't depressed. I was able to laugh again. I actually saw my future again. If you're in the same place I was, KEEP GOING! Things will get better!"

For Panic Disorder "I read these reviews, body tingling, shaking, concentrating on every breath or I would choke to death, using all of my will to focus on these reviews with tears in my eyes imagining that some of these success stories could happen to me and promised to write one if i could make it out alive. I'm 22 and started having severe panic 2 years ago. Don't worry about the side effects. If your experience was like mine every day, side effects would be a break from the dread and torture I felt every second. Zoloft brought me right back to the person I remember being before the panic. Just try it and give it time. It gradually got better over 3 weeks along with klonopin for attacks in that time. I hope this gives someone the hope and courage to try it."

For Depression "First of all, I wanted to write this several years ago but somehow never got around to it. Zoloft has changed my life. I’ve struggled with depression and anxiety my whole life. In 2011 I finally started Zoloft. The first night I started my 25mg dose. The next morning I woke up and felt completely different. It was like a euphoric feeling. My body didn’t ache. I had more energy....fast forward 7 years. I still am using Zoloft and it has made me a better wife, more patient parent and overall less anxious and depressed."

For Depression "I'm 19 and Zoloft has been a LIFESAVER for me! I've had very bad generalized anxiety, social anxiety, panic attacks, and mild depression. I recently had been on Xanax then Klonopin as needed, but I felt as if those types of medications wouldn't help me in the long run. I've been on 25 mg of Zoloft for a month and a half, and I feel WONDERFUL! The horrible, disabling anxiety I once had is almost nonexistent, and my depression melted away! My mood is stabilized, I have a lot of energy, focusing on school work is a synch, and I interact with others with confidence. Yes, I feel like a totally renewed, cleansed person with a constant sense of motivation! Zoloft saved my life! Little to no side effects either. Very mild antidepressant."

For Obsessive Compulsive Disorder "Been going up slowly on Zoloft to help my OCD. I started on 12.5 mg for 2 weeks, 25 mg for 3 weeks, 37.5 mg for 2 weeks then 50 mg for 3 weeks now 62.5mg. Overall I’m feeling better. Intrusive thoughts related to harm OCD have gone. General anxiety still there but not constant. When I started this medication for OCD and panic attacks I was literally having panic attacks every hour due to the OCD. My anxiety was a 10 now, most days it’s 0-2 every day I do have some sort of anxious feeling but for the most part it’s a fleeting feeling. BEST THING ABOUT THIS MEDICATION... I LOST 20 LBs and continue to not want to eat junk food. I also started working out. Good luck! I wish you the best and hope to continue getting better with time."

For Panic Disorder "Before Zoloft, I had panic attacks every single day for weeks. I was starting to feel hopeless and I didn’t know what to do anymore. When I started taking Zoloft, it was a roller coaster the first week. I had several huge panic attacks on Zoloft (assuming that was just my body getting used to it), but they’d always go away just as fast as they showed up. I almost stopped taking it but I decided to keep trying it for a while, and I am SO glad I did. I’ve been taking it for almost over a month now and I haven’t had a panic attack in WEEKS. At all! I also find it much easier in social situations as well. I can talk to people without all of the overthinking and I haven’t felt very anxious about anything. Anxiety was a MAJOR part of me for years so experiencing this was an absolute life changer. I will not stop taking Zoloft. I believe it has genuinely saved my life. I highly recommend it!!!"

For Depression "I started Zoloft about 2 months ago. I was taking 25 mg to start, as I am very tiny. After about a month, I increased to 50 mg, and the results were felt within days. I'm not hitting my dangerous lows nearly as frequently, and when I do get upset, it feels tolerable. Yes, I still cry; no, I'm not happy all the time, but that's normal! For the first time in over 3 years, I understand what it feels like to be normal. PS-for those of you out there desperately looking for help, but not wanting to disappoint your loved ones who are opposed to taking psychiatric medication, do it for yourself. Here's what might happen: they don't work so you stop taking them, or they work and you never look back. Life is far too short to feel awful throughout it."

For Panic Disorder "I have been taking Zoloft for a month now and holy cow it is a miracle drug for me and my panic disorder. I was diagnosed with Anxiety/Panic disorder and Moderate Major Depression and so far it has worked! I started out on 25 mg for a week and after that week went to 50 mg. (I'm small, female) I did have a few side effects the first week (feeling "out of it", night sweats, and just generally feeling the medication. But after that week my mood has improved, I laugh more, and I feel like my old self, less anxious and I haven't had a panic attack. I will probably be on Zoloft for the rest of my life and I'm okay with that because I love how I feel on this medication. I've never taken any other medication but this one has helped me get back into hobbies that I was too depressed to enjoy and be able to perform tasks that used to make me anxious, even simple tasks."

For Social Anxiety Disorder "I am in my 40s & I suffered a panic attack for the first time while driving. My friend said try Zoloft, so I saw the doctor for it. I kept a log first entry dated May 1, 2018. Day 1 on zoloft: "I felt tired, little dizzy, brain fog - woke up a couple of times feeling weird, not myself. I had stomach upset and diarrhea." Day 2: "I woke up feeling like a zombie. I was very tired, no emotion, but I had to get up, when I was driving & came to a stop light, I felt very anxious." "I hope I'm making the right decision to start meds but do I have a choice???" Day 3 & 4: "...felt tired & having a brain fog. My stomach is rumbling & little nausea but it is manageable." Day 8: "I woke up feeling tired and right now I feel a little anxiety" Day 17: "It's been over 2 weeks & I am driving with little to no anxiety!" I have been on Zoloft 25 mg for 2 years now. Because of reading other people's reviews, I knew what to expect & that kept me going!"
