For Pancreatic Exocrine Dysfunction "These enzymes dehydrated me so badly and lowered my blood pressure a lot. The price is insane. I've switched to natural digestive enzymes with probiotics and am having fantastic results. I really hated how huge the capsules were. They were very hard to swallow. My monthly dosage now costs me less than 8 dollars (compared to one thousand for zenpep!!!)"

Creon (pancrelipase) "I just started this medication to treat IBS. So far, I'm not bloated and do not have a lot of gas, but my throat is irritated which can happen. I'm just grateful I don't feel like crap. I felt ill for 2 years not knowing what was wrong with me as I had a blood test and found I had stress in my pancreas."

Creon (pancrelipase) "I had Ileostomy/Colostomy op 40 years ago (stoma bag) at age 21 and recently had the Whipple procedure op (now 59) due to pancreatic cancer all linked to Ulcerative Colitis. It was the first time my surgeon had done Whipple on top of Ileostomy. I was told to take three Creon tabs with a meal or each course and two with a snack. Creon has made ZERO difference for me that I can tell. I know my body, I know what it does why and the results (waste, bloating, pain, and discomfort) and I question how or do they help me and in what way. I don't believe they do anything for me, others might be different but I experience no difference and would NEVER suggest anyone stops using them, down to the individual experience."

Zenpep (pancrelipase) for Pancreatic Exocrine Dysfunction "Just been diagnosed with pancreatic insufficiency. Was prescribed Zenpep two weeks ago. Started on 1 before every meal and snack. Just increased to two before meals and one before snack. Have seen a big improvement. Praying that it continues. Would like to find a diet program specifically for this condition."

For Chronic Pancreatitis "I have Crohn's disease, I've had two surgeries, and have problems digesting food. My Doctor put me on Creon, and within an hour after taking it I had the worst case of brain fog ever. Like being stoned, but not in a good way. I tried it for several days and then stopped. Waited several days and tried it again with the same result. My doctor said it "could not" have been from the Creon............well, I'm sure that it was."

Zenpep (pancrelipase) for Cystic Fibrosis "I've taken Zenpep for most of my life. I take 5 caps with meals and snacks because I have fat in every meal. It works great and the only time I've had an issue is if I had an extra fatty meal and didn't take an additional capsule. I recommend Zenpep to anyone with CF."

For Pancreatic Exocrine Dysfunction "I have type 2 diabetes and was recently diagnosed through the fecal elastase test. I was having chronic diarrhea and unbelievable gas and losing weight. As it turns out, my elastase level was at 40; it should be 300+ indicating a severe case of EPI from chronic pancreatitis. I am currently taking up to 65k (for big fatty meals) and 10k to 35k per snack. I adjust my dose accordingly - more for extra big fatty meals and less for smaller, less fatty meals or snacks. Each person is different, and you have to tailor dosage. The goal is to take the least dose that is effective to avoid side effects. At the moment, I am doing really well and have zero diarrhea and have gained weight. This medication has given me back a normal life, and without it, I was doomed. I suggest you stay the course and start your dosing at between 35k to 45k per meal, going up or down as needed, keeping in mind your body weight less or more accordingly. My body weight is 200 lbs. Best wishes to everyone."

Viokase (pancrelipase) for Chronic Pancreatitis "I took Viokase for years and it did more for me than Creon. I never had any side effects and tolerated the drug for many years. I then moved to Ga. from Fla. and my new doctor took me off Viokase and I now take Creon and as I said, I wish I could still get Viokase...."

Pancreaze (pancrelipase) "I have autoimmune pancreatitis and have been sick for years. No doctor could figure out what was wrong with me. When I was admitted to the hospital at the beginning of 2024, I was dying. A chance encounter with a doctor there led to the diagnosis of EPI, and then the cause (autoimmune pancreatitis). They started me on Creon immediately. It was a miracle drug. I could eat again. No pain, no running to the bathroom. And then I had an allergic reaction to it, anaphylaxis. So I had to stop. We changed to Pancreaze and it has worked even better for me. I'm currently on 21,000 units with every meal. The only side effects I deal with are a little bloating and gas if I have a high-fat meal."

Pancrease MT 16 (pancrelipase) for Cystic Fibrosis "I have Cystic Fibrosis and turned 60 a few months back. I have survived a double lung transplant, a kidney transplant, a number of bowel obstruction surgeries, a hematoma and heart surgery for my lung adhering to heart. I been taking pancreas for as long as I can remember. I have not had a bowel obstruction surgery since I’ve had my lung transplant in 2010. However, how well can pancreas be working for me, considering I had so many obstructions? Maybe it is time that I try one of the other enzymes like Creon or ZenPep. Has anyone tried the 3 at different periods of their life and pick one that worked the best out of the 3?"

Creon (pancrelipase) for Pancreatic Exocrine Dysfunction "I started taking Creon the week before Thanksgiving and miracle—it stopped my ongoing diarrhea. I'm on a low dose - 12,000-38-60,000 unit capsule delayed release. Then the following week morning diarrhea started followed by middle of the night diarrhea. I've emailed my gastroenterologist and maybe she will change dosage."

Zenpep (pancrelipase) for Pancreatic Exocrine Dysfunction "Doctors prescribed Zenpep with meals and snacks. I pay $25 for 250 pills every month for 5 months, and then all my scripts are free for the last 7 months of the year with my insurance. This medicine works wonders. I'm so grateful. It helps with my acid reflux and gas. If I forget to take it, I realize it for sure I will start getting symptoms immediately. The doctor prescribes the max dose, so I will never run out. Forever grateful."
