For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I was experiencing some slight itching that I was sure was a yeast infection since I had just finished a course of antibiotics. I often will get a yeast infection after taking antibiotics. Immediately after using the cream I felt intense burning and itching like I've never felt before. I washed off the cream as best I could and applied some cortisone cream and took an antihistamine. The burning and itching subsided after about a half an hour. I've used Monistat numerous times in the past and have never had this happen before. I'm wondering, based on all these reviews, if it was a bad batch."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Damn! I purchased Monistat 3 used it last night and immediately after using it I started to feel terrible burning and horrible itching. Now keep in mind I’ve never had this happen to me before ever and I’ve used these when ever I had a YI. I don’t know what they did to this product but I won’t be buying again and I’m going to call them up and file a complaint because this is ridiculous. And it’s the following day and I’m still burning and itching. I don’t recommend using this product. Just see your doctor if you can. I would give it a 0 if I could. And for those saying it’s supposed to do that. No it’s not supposed to do this at all. This is the first time this has happened to me and I’ve used them numerous times with no issues till now."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Do NOT use this! After a couple days of dealing with a YI I decided this may speed up healing. I inserted the cream and instantly had itching that was so unbearable I literally cried because after 15 minutes I couldn’t do it and scratched which resulted in burning, I rinsed most of it off and things subsided. The next day my YI symptoms were better so tonight I thought hey it must’ve been getting rid of the yeast and maybe that’s why it got so intense so tonight couldn’t be nearly as bad, let me do the second dose. Horrible idea, within seconds I regretted that decision as I had went ALL day with hardly an itch and barely any burning to a ridiculously unbearable itch that again resulted in tears, itching, burning and washing. I will be calling my OB tomorrow for a different course of action because Monistat made things so much worse than the YI on its own. Awful experience and awful product. If I ever get another YI I will never try this again!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I get frequent yeast infections and while I usually go to a doctor I decided to save some time and get monistat. DO NOT EVER USE THIS PRODUCT. I inserted it and immediately felt like I dumped gasoline in my vagina and lit it on fire. I was in tears from the itching and burning and had to flush it out. I am calling the FDA about this product because it is unsafe. I followed up and saw a doctor two days later and they found burn marks that were bleeding along with my yeast infection. Stay safe and if you are reading this and it has happened to you, call the FDA!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Holy Moly. How is this product still on shelves. It needs a warning label. “This will cause your vagina to feel like it’s on actual fire for hours”. I’ve used this product years ago and it was never ever like this. I wish I had read these warnings here before I used it because I would of stayed clear. Worst pain ever!!!!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Don't do it! I am not sure what happened to this product, I used it years ago with zero problems. This time after an hour of extreme burning and itching I got online. As almost every woman on here said....I should have read the reviews first. Attempted to wash it all out but I am laying here in terrible pain. I guess I won't be sleeping tonight. They should have to print a giant warning on the box."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS I wish so badly that I read these reviews before buying the Monistat 3 day treatment. I'm still shaken up. Not even a minute after inserting the first treatment, I felt a burn that I had never felt down there before. I tried for about a minute to see if it would subside, but once I was in TEARS, I ran to the bathroom and did as much as I could to get this lava cream out of my vag. It still burns but not as bad since I got a good amount of it out. Tomorrow I'm calling my doctor, which is what I should have done in the first place but I figured since I had 1 yeast infection before and knew what it was this time, I could go without prescription antibiotics and just do the OTC treatment. I was wrong. Please do not buy this product."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I don’t normally deviate from what I know works and this time I wish I would have stuck to my gut. I went to the store and every other brand of YI applications were sold out! All except six full rows of Monistat! That should have told me something there but I was desperate. Next time I won’t be. I literally thought I did something horribly wrong! The burning nearly took me out!! I was at the point of yelling for my husband to take me to the emergency room before the burning/ itching finally started to subside. Moral of the story, do NOT get this if you have a low pain tolerance. You’ve been warned lol"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "IDK why but my experience is diff than everyone else's here. I have a low immune system so I basically get a yeast infection almost every time I have sex. Due to the quarantine I went to the pharmacy and picked up Monistat. It immediately gave me relief and it said it cures most yeast infections in 7 days but I'm on day 5 and for some reason theres an itching sensation around the entrance of my vagina. ONLY THERE. All of the other internal itching has stopped so IDK if I was supposed to do the 3 day monistat or not but it doesn't seem like the itching will subside in 2 days. It's not really that bad or like a burning sensation. It just itches so I guess I'll have to make an appointment to see my doc. Honestly thought I really found a way to get rid of my yeast infections for once."

I tried so many different cream and pills to make my yeast infection, of 2 months, go away. For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I noticed symptoms of a YI and went to get Monistat 3, a product I’ve used before that has worked for me. A minute after it was inserted it burned like no other, this unbearable pain that had me calling my mom in tears. I showered it out as much as possible, but my vagina still has a left over burn. Something must be new in their formula because it worked so well before, DO NOT USE!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I've used the generic 7-day with success. Wish I hadn't decided to try Monistat 3-day cream. I am burning inside and it's worse than the infection itself. Will be going back to 7-day after I douche. This stuff is awful and should be taken off the market. I feel like I inserted battery acid instead of medicine in my vagina. Will not be completing the 3-day treatment nor will I ever buy another Monistat product again."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I self diagnosed myself with a yeast infection after a couple of searches on google. I had the mildest of itchiness but my discharge definitely gave it away. After three days I decided to try Monistat 1, the ovule kind. The instructions were very easy to follow and I had no trouble. I didn’t know what to expect after reading some horror stories in the reviews. A few hours in I felt a very very small burning sensation, I was self conscious about the burning otherwise I really don’t think I would’ve noticed. I put on a panty liner and went out that same night. It’s been five days now with normal discharge and no itchiness at all. I highly recommend this product. Don’t be scared away by reviews, we are all different!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I used the suppository Monistat before and didn’t have any burning sensation. I don’t itch when I am yeasty. I do start having a smell and the white discharge. I hate it. It’s so gross. I’m usually smelling good all the time down there. Anyway, I grabbed the wrong Monistat 3 and got the cream applicator. Like you all have said, I do have a burning sensation almost 2 minutes later. Freaked me out cuz my vagina has never burned like this. I wiped the external cream off. It not unbearable but I think I will consult a doctor for day 2 and 3 ... I mean I don’t want my vagina to be weld shut. I haven’t competed the regimen but I’m disappointed and really don’t have the money to buy something else. I did online doc and he said lotrimin. It’s an antifungal cream I think. It’s called Clotrimozole."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I've used this before & it was always a great. I've not had a YI in10 years until now. I got the 3 day. 1st day, definitely made the itch a billion times worse, & burned so bad. I thought it was just the medicine working. It sucked but I mean the YI should get better quickly so that issue should also go away. WRONG! Day 2 equally bad. Day 3. Oh sweet Jesus! The burning & itching was like the gates of lava were opened straight through my vagina! I literally asked my husband if I could just rip out my vaginal canal & be done with it! After 3 hours of the sensation fire ants crawling in & out of me I couldn't take it anymore. I went in the bathroom & prepared myself for birth squeezing as much out as I could. I used external cream to help & HOLY MOLY IT MADE IT WORSE! 4 hours in this & finally took a strong pain pill to hopefully knock me out! I may soak in another bath. I hope I don't get another YI as I'm going to have PTSD after this nightmare."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I’m on day 2 currently and I’ve never been so uncomfortable in my life. The burning sensation that comes within minutes after inserting is literally unbearable. I want to scratch out my vagina. I kept it in for about 20 min until it got to the point where I couldn’t take it anymore. I got out as much as I could but I’m still currently in extreme pain. I’m NEVER buying this again. Avoid this at all cost unless u want to go through this yourself"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "OMG worst product ever!!! So 2 days ago I had some itching and discharge I knew it was yeast as I had been taking antibiotics for having a sinus infection. So I thought I would be proactive and get 3 day monistat to clear it up. Honey it made it worst!!! I felt like gas was poured down there and somebody struck a damn match!!! SMH I just left to go to the ER because I could not take the pain any more!!! It caused me chemical burns swelling and made the itching worst. Will never use again!"

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "Micanozole also used in Monistat yes is one of the worse feeling creams for a yeast infection . I & several others have switched to a another cream called Clotrimazole instead. It is literally the opposite. It has NO BURNING or tingling. I don't know how people stand Miconazole or Monistat. It like putting yourself thru all that pain. NOW PLEASE UNDERSTAND, this medicine may take 2 doses where monistat may take 1 use. This means If you use monistat 3 , then you would need to buy two of the Clotrimazole 3 to do the job typically. If you buy the 1 day then you would need to buy two 1 day boxes of this.. Its milder so it takes a little longer , BUT... THERE IS NO PAIN! So I say give me pain free results. I'll take more days."

For Vaginal Yeast Infection "I used the monistat 1. It burned and caused more discomfort than before I used it. Had to see my doctor for an oral prescription to cure the yeast infection. She told me to never use monistat 1. It has a chemical in it that is suppose to make it stay in the Vagina that causes extreme pain. She also said she doesn’t even know why they make it. Do not recommend! "

The first night i inserted to cream while laying down, stood to turn me light off and seconds later i got the most intense itching feeling ive ever had in my life, i wanted to crawl out of my skin. My pain tolerance is very high but this was hell. The next morning i showered and there was a huge relief.
