For Female Infertility "I was diagnosed with unexplained infertility, I took Femara one month shy of a year started at 2.5 then upped to 5mg. After almost a year I went to a new doctor we set up a plan and just let my last cycle of medication run its course from the other doctor. My next month appointment she was in delivery with other patients and I had to reschedule. I was desperate and just started googling everything. Me and my husband was having sex multiple times a day but I had read online that if you have sex during the next couple days after ovulation the egg won’t implant. The percentages were high so after ovulation we waited three days. A week later I was pregnant It was literally the only thing we did differently two years of trying non stop we finally did it. I honestly think waiting after ovulation is what did it for us I never heard this before."

For Female Infertility "Hi i have been diagnosed with PCOS more than ten years back. I had so many symptoms of PCOS struggling me these many years which includes obesity, facial hair, depression, anxiety etc. After marriage I was about to start my fertility treatment but before that decided to lose weight. I lost almost 18kgs within six months with healthy diet and moderate exercise everyday and regularized my period and then tried letrozole cycle day 3-7. First month no luck, second month no luck, third month finally God answered my prayer. Now I am five weeks pregnant. Please pray for me. Baby dust to all the woman reading my comment. Don't give up, don't lose hope. Try.. Try.. And try.. Surely will succeed."

Femara (letrozole) for Breast Cancer "I have been on Femara for almost a year. At first I had nearly constant hot flashes/night sweats. Was started on Effexor with nearly immediate relief. Have had increasingly painful joint and muscle pain, especially in my knees. Nothing seems to be helping much with that and it has been a major detriment to my quality of life. Have recently added Magnesium, Fish Oil and Glucosamine/Chrondroitin to the Calcium and D3 I had been taking. Hopefully this will ease the joint stiffness and pain. I am 52 and some days feel 92. Still I am cancer free so far, so I will continue to take Femara."

For Breast Cancer "Started on Anastrolze for 4 months, it was debilitating to me. Could hardly move, could not sleep, could not focus, had serious brain fog. Oncologist switch me to Letrozole. Started off good, then about 4 months into it, I noticed my hands and feet were so sore, could hardly move them. Swelling, weight gain, intense hand, knee and foot pain, foggy brain, sweating all the time. The knee pain got so bad, I could hardly walk. Took myself off them, seeing the oncologist on a couple of months. She said I had to have a bone scan and possible transfusion because letrozole was known to cause issues with bones. I am 54 years old and was feeling like I was 80. I want a quality of live, decided to take the risk at this point. They all have the same side effects, not worth it to me."

For Female Infertility "I struggled many years to try to conceive. About 5 years ago I started taking letrozole 2.5mg ×1 pills a day. I wasn't producing follicles so after 2 months the upped my dose to 2.5mg ×2pills a day, this was working. But they wanted to give me an extra boos to make me ovulate, so they prescribed me a HCG shot to take to ovulate. I now have a healthy 4 year old and healthy 2 year old. It took me 5 months to get pregnant with my 4 year old and 7 months to get pregnant with my 2 year old. Now crossing my fingers, because I have been on letrozole with HCG shot for going on 7th months. Luck to you all."

For Breast Cancer "I was on Letrozole for one year. Stage 1 breast cancer, no lymph node involvement. ER/PR+ HER2- Why I was put on this drug is beyond me. I now need hip replacement. I have stress fractures in my shin. Every joint in my body aches. I stopped taking the drug after one year. When I see my oncologist I will tell him I stopped taking it. Although I stopped the drug in November, I am still having bone pain and joint pain. I use a walker because of my hip and stress fractures. I did not have any problems before taking this medication. I hope the FDA changes it’s use for breast cancer patients."

For Breast Cancer "After taking Letrozole for about 6mths I had the aching muscles etc, felt like a 90yr old! Then did a lot of research!..take your calcium and MAGNESIUM (which is a muscle relaxant) it is amazing, no more aching bones! I take 2 magnesium a day, one in the morning and one an hour before I go to bed. Don't take at same time as your calcium, wait a couple of hours! Read up about this brilliant supplement! It also gives u energy etc etc...i seriously thought about stopping taking Letrozole but along with the adcal and Magnesium I feel great! Also I get these on prescription!"

Femara (letrozole) for Breast Cancer, Adjuvant "I had stage 3 breast cancer have been through chemo, radiation and have been on Femara for 4 months. I started on Aromasin but had terrible joint and muscle pain so my oncologist changed me to Femara. My joints and muscles feel better but I am so tired that even my oncologist tells me I look worn out. I will live with the fatigue as I know this medicine works. I am 58 and I can no longer do what I did less than a year ago. I ride a bike 40 minutes a day, I eat healthy but I just have no vitality. I miss my old self."

For Female Infertility "It took me 5 years to have my daughter who is now 14. When my daughter turned one, I found out that I had a miscarriage, which made me want to try for another baby. After 12 years and 5 miscarriages later, I was really concerned that I wouldn't have any more children. I was very blessed to get my daughter! I tried 4 other treatments from different doctors, but when I went to a new OBGYN that gave me letrozole 2.5mg, I thought it would just be another fail. With a lot of prayers going up, God answered and said this prescription is the one that will work for your body. He blessed me with a healthy baby boy. He's now 14 months old, and we didn't have any issues at all. Everything went according to plan. We're actually going back to the OBGYN to try again so he'll have a sibling to grow up with! Oh yeah, I don't want to forget to mention that it actually worked with the first prescription we took, the first month of it!"

For Female Infertility "I’ve been trying to conceive from 2017 to 2022. I was seeing an endocrinologist and all he suggested was IVF. Finely I saw a new endocrinologist January 2022 and he was great. This doctor suggested I take Letrozole 2.5mg twice daily to ovulate because I have PCOS. He also suggested I get the digital ovulation clear blue test so I can test for ovulation. I did exactly what the endocrinologist doctor told me to do and got a positive ovulation test February 8th and 9th. Positive pregnancy test February 22nd and a beta hcg blood to confirm pregnancy levels of 1449. I’m currently 5 weeks and 2 days pregnant early I know but letrozole worked for me. I have had problems getting pregnant for 5 years, one hsg, almost did an IUI and now I’m pregnant. I’m so excited letrozole worked on day 3 of cycle to day 7. I had no side effects in taking Letrozole."

Femara (letrozole) for Breast Cancer "Awful! I've been on Femara for about 8 months. And since I started, I seem to have every single side effect. My joint and muscle pain is excruciating. In no particular order, I suffer with body pain (fingers, hands, shoulders, chest, back, sides, hips, legs, feet - basically everything head to toe). Plus, weight loss, hot flashes, headaches, dizziness, thinning of hair, dry mouth, high BP, night sweats. Even my scalp is tender. Chest pain that radiates to upper arms, shortage of breath, over all depression. Chills, insomnia, intestinal pain - sharp pains, plus dull aching. Constant feelings of nausea, diarrhea, constipation. I'm afraid to eat but also have little appetite. Brain fog, shortness of breath. Feeling that I am just going to die. Sitting up in pain all night. I hurt everywhere - too sick to move; too sick to cry. Feels like I am going to have a heart attack. Can’t lie down, can’t stand up. Full body chills, hands shaking. Haven't slept through the night in months."

For Breast Cancer "I have been on Letrozole for 9 months. I have dry mouth, extremely dry skin, vaginal dryness, reduced libido, weight gain and hair loss. My joints are increasingly stiff and painful. I wake in the night from pain and can scarcely walk first thing in the morning. My Breast cancer was stage one an I had both breasts removed. I am considering stopping taking it."

For Female Infertility "My story: I did not have any periods for a year and after tests was diagnosed with PCOS. I was referred to a fertility clinic as have been trying to conceive for over a year. They started me on 2.5mg letrozole to kickstart ovulation but I didn’t ovulate in the first month, so the dose was doubled to 5mg (two tablets) and I began to ovulate which was good news. However unfortunately after 6 months of taking double letrozole I have not had a pregnancy. I’m now being re referred for IUI/IVF. Everyone is different, and it’s nice to see the success stories here. Many ladies seem to have achieved pregnancy with letrozole which is lovely, it gives us hope. Stay strong and keep going x"

Femara (letrozole) for Breast Cancer "I've been taking letrozole(Femara) 9 months, after a right side mastectomy for stage IIA breast cancer. I'm ER & PR positive. No radiation or chemo. I'm 58 & this is the only drug I take, besides vitamins. The first 6 weeks I had trouble sleeping, occasional dizziness, some joint pain, & mild headaches. Around 4 months in, I started losing hair. I'd guess approximately 25% of my hair has fallen out. Besides the hair loss, I have dry eyes, genitals, & skin. There's some stiffness & joint pain in my hips. These side effects are tolerable, especially, knowing that the drug is preventing a cancer recurrence. None of these side effects are enough for me to stop taking letrozole!"

Femara (letrozole) for Breast Cancer, Metastatic "I have been using Femara for 8 months, and I have been having very few side effects. I get the hot flashes only once in a while now. I do have some joint pain, but that has been easy to tolerate, if that means I will have a longer life, but only GOD knows that. There is always hope, just keep the faith and have no doubt in the medicine, doctors and mostly GOD."

For Breast Cancer "After 4 months on Letrazole, I felt like an old crock, in pain everywhere, barely able to move, depressed, not sleeping well and developing carpal tunnel syndrome. I've gone off it ready to try something else and after only a week, nearly all the pain and stiffness is gone. I'm sleeping well and have a sense of wellbeing. Letrazole stole my quality of life and I'm glad I discovered it after not too long. Let's hope other drugs are better tolerated, but if not, I'd rather have quality of life than quantity of pain."
