GlipiZIDE XL (glipizide) for Diabetes, Type 2 "When I first was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes it frightened enough to watch everything I ate. I dieted hard, and lost 35 pounds in about 4 to 5 months. My doctor prescribed Glipizide to go along with the dieting. I brought my A1C from 7.6 to 6.8 in the first 6 months. That was about as low as I could get my A1C, so I guess the Glipizide worked but only marginally. The only side effect was I actually gained weight back when I stopped being as rigid with my diet."

For Diabetes, Type 2 "I was originally put on insulin as a type one diabetic , dr later decided I was a type 2 but my pancreas was on way out , I was put on metaformen and every other drug going and they all upset my stomach. Giplzide is the only one with no real side effects, I just get occasional hypo and dizzy head but that’s it"

For Diabetes, Type 2 "I’m type 2, and my BS kept spiking up just past the normal range even on a good diet. Dr. started me at 2.5 because I’ve had issues with all other meds. This dosage dropped my levels down about 30 points. Started on the full dose of 5.0 and it lowered it too low, like in the 70’s. Yikes! I’m told to go off it completely for now to see what happens, but honestly I’d like to stay on the 2.5 dose as it worked well for me. No side effects except a bit of constipation, but having IBS-D, I was fine with that!"

Glucotrol (glipizide) for Diabetes, Type 2 "I had severe headaches, muscle aches, anxiety. I felt flushed, skin excessively warm. Dizziness my eyeballs hurt. Nausea, vomiting, motion sickness yes motion sickness."

Glucotrol (glipizide) for Diabetes, Type 2 "I was on Metformin and had trouble with the Diarrhea side effects. Dr put me on Glipizide Er 10mgs. Works great and no side effects. Added Januvia to my therapy. 6.4 A1c."

GlipiZIDE XL (glipizide) for Diabetes, Type 2 "Fabulous drug. My patients are doing so much better with Glipizide XL. Getting them to goal. Easy to take and no pre meal dosing."

For Diabetes, Type 2 "My doctor took me off Glipizide 5mg and put me on Toujeo insulin. My diabetes does not do as well as it did on Glipizide. Can I quit Toujeo insulin and go back to Glipizide 5mg?"

For Diabetes, Type 2 "Best experience with medicine for T2 Diabetes. I can take it 30 minutes before a meal and my glucose goes up < 50 points. Was very helpful with recent steroids that make my glucose go over 300z"
