Lorzone (chlorzoxazone) for Muscle Spasm "I have been struggling with pain and fatigue from soft tissue damage after an auto accident. Dr. prescribed numerous medications. This one, by far, is at the top of the list as far as effectiveness and no side effects. Thank goodness I have it!"

Lorzone (chlorzoxazone) for Muscle Spasm "I ALMOST DIED FROM LORZONE!!! Who ever took samples to a Pain Doctor's office knowing it can KILL you if you take other pain medicines with this KILL. I was not told this, I was just told to take two 750mg tablets a day. I swelled up in the face, hands and legs. I became so sick I had dark urine and could not eat as all I could do was throw up and have coffee ground diarrhea. I WAS GIVEN SAMPLES FROM A PAIN DOCTOR! No information was on the boxes! Before you take this make sure it goes with all your medicines you are on or you could DIE! (check your drug interactions) I MAY NEVER BE THE SAME. Who ever gave those samples to a pain Doctor's office they are trying to kill people!! I can not tell you how many days I took the samples as I lost my MEMORY! I called the company they are to blame for this in my book!"

Lorzone (chlorzoxazone) for Muscle Spasm "I suffer from degenerative arthritis, bulging and herniated discs, as well as severe muscle spasms. I just took my first dose of this at 1500 mg, 3 times a day. There is no sleepy feeling, and finally, I have a little relief. Before Lorzone, I was on a strong muscle relaxer that didn't do much. Even with my Norco and Nucynta, I was in extreme pain and could barely breathe. After this first dose of Lorzone, I can breathe without the extreme pain. I still have pain in my spine and thoracic area, but it's more tolerable than before. I hope this continues to keep the severe pain away. I am on Medicare and disability, so I hope when the samples are over, the cost of the script isn't too high. I have high expectations of this medication, praying it works out well."

Lorzone (chlorzoxazone) for Muscle Spasm "I've tried almost every muscle relaxer out on the market, nothing worked as well as Lorzone! It's been a Godsend for me. I have multiple chronic spinal issues, some that cause severe muscle spasms. Lorzone has made my life more bearable. It may take about a week when you first start to actually work on your spasms, then continue as directed and you'll notice a difference in the amount and severity of spasms. I've also noticed that within a week or two of stopping Lorzone, the spasms return. :( Unfortunately, I'll be on meds for the rest of my life. My insurance only pays a very small part of the cost, I use the coupon that Lorzone provides. Ask your doctor for it, it's on the box of samples they get from the company."

Lorzone (chlorzoxazone) for Muscle Spasm "I just got a sample pack of Lorzone along with a prescription for it. I took it just a little bit ago and while sitting there with my neck, back, and legs cramping, all of a sudden, it was like a sort of rush came over me and a lot of the cramping and spasms just went away. Pretty awesome! I hope it continues to be this effective. I have a connective tissue disorder along with a long list of issues that stem from that. The only thing is, my doctor said it's very expensive. I'm on Medicare and disability. When I just dropped off the script, they said they have to get a pre-auth so insurance will cover it but I'm not sure how high my co-pay will be. I hope it's not too much so I can continue taking this!"

Lorzone (chlorzoxazone) for Muscle Spasm "Was given these by my doctor due to back spasms and pain. I have been on steroids and Flexeril prior, but it didn't work. These work amazingly. Not only did my back and right leg stop the spasms, I had no more pain. I have not taken anything but these and am amazed so far. And I only take one a day."

Lorzone (chlorzoxazone) for Muscle Spasm "I had a full shoulder repair done about 9 days ago. They stuck me on this, and when I first started taking it, the side effects were a little crazy, but after the initial 24 hours of taking it, it works absolutely amazing. I'm able to sleep. When I first started taking it, the doctor had recommended I take the whole pill, 750 milligrams, which I did. It knocked me out so I could sleep, and it was right after surgery. Now I'm down to a third of the pill, and it still works the same way. It's an amazing muscle relaxer, and I would recommend it to anybody. Some people may say that's not long enough on the medication to know whether or not it truly works, but I'm telling you, after a full shoulder repair, it works just fine. It works how it's supposed to."

Lorzone (chlorzoxazone) for Muscle Spasm "Was taken off Flexeril and prescribed Lorzone. Took 1/3 of one pill. Two hours later, I didn't feel right. Pain in back, hard to take a deep breath, eyes dilated, face tingled, and lips swelled! Severe reaction required hospitalization. Be careful."

For Muscle Spasm "I have been taking the generic form of Parafon Forte 500 mg since 1997 for my back, neck, and leg spasms due to fibromyalgia, sciatica, and neuropathy. It was not the first, second, or even the fifth muscle relaxant I tried. None of the sodas, Flexeril, amitriptyline, or NSAID-type meds made much difference. So I did some online research and found this med to be the strongest muscle relaxer (as of '97 at least). I asked my pain management doctor for this med. I am still using it 18 years later. This is not a new medication."

Lorzone (chlorzoxazone) for Muscle Spasm "Increasing sciatica over 4 years; told by PT, 'don't climb hills.' Aggravated with physical demands of moving to a new place. More recent injury from a clumsy fall and subsequent hip surgery x2. Unclear where one starts/ends, etc., but have classic sciatica now. Remedial ice, rest, stretching, gentle rebounding all help temporarily. Valium is hit/miss. Lorzone is a bullseye. MRI shows 'typical lumbar changes' for 65 y/o with years of physical stressors compounded by unmindful posture in the name of 'getting the job done.' I hope this pill is as good long-term as short-term. Just picked up new script for it after using up freebie from MD."

For Muscle Spasm "I suffered for over a decade with neck radiating pain, low back pain into my right foot, and occasional headaches. I have a herniation at C3/4/5 and severe progressed degeneration at C5/6. I received neck shots to my right elbow and experienced tingling in three right fingers (Erb's Palsy). I finally changed my lifestyle to include organic foods and white meats. In due time, I went down four waist sizes over 8 to 10 months, after my body reset in 2 months. My lower back pain is now only a nuisance and not a 'problem,' and my bloodwork improved from the brink of disaster to excellent. This is the only medication, other than Valium, that I can tolerate in its class. I am in disbelief that this worked on day 2. There was slight confusion and minor dizziness on the first day, but all side effects went away in the first week. I highly suggest you try this medication. I am skeptical but still suggest this one. It's a great find."

Numerous side effects, head foggy, vision blurry, loud audio, tongue and throat swollen, rapid heartbeat with tightening chest! Then tingling in the feet, and I blacked out! Lorzone (chlorzoxazone) for Muscle Spasm "Lorzone immensely improved my severe whiplash after just one dose (effects felt the next day). The first thing I noticed was that it relaxed my diaphragm, causing me to burp, and it relaxed other areas, causing me to cough regularly. Two thumbs up!"

For Muscle Spasm "Since the CDC has influenced states and federal agencies, I was taken off my Soma. My opioid dosage was reduced by one-third. The doctor told me they can’t prescribe Soma and extremely lower pain meds. The muscle spasms with RSD/CRPS are unbearable at night. This was the third muscle relaxer I’ve tried. I was so hopeful until my lower lip started swelling on the left side only. Rash bumps were there; however, I get them with RSD/CRPS. Yeah, I had the stomach issues get worse while on this. It, too, wasn’t a red flag as I also have gastroparesis. Day two of swelling, swelling expanded to upper lip and under right eye. Just guessed it was an allergic reaction and went for Benadryl. Still swollen, just not as severe. Please reconsider this dangerous medication! Oh, how I wish the government weren’t making my doctors puppets. Unable to think for themselves and do their job as only they went for the education. I’m being tortured by having to try all these different meds. Miserable."

Lorzone (chlorzoxazone) for Muscle Spasm "Rx Lorzone 750 mg, bid. Took for 2 days, unable to tolerate. Caused vomiting, dizziness, felt like limbs coated in cement. It worked great on spasms. Headache and other side effects not worth taking the drug. Will stop and tell my doctor."

For Muscle Spasm "I was prescribed Lorzone recently by a pain specialist when I explained that all other muscle relaxants I have previously used were too sedating. I was pleased to find that though it is a 'new' medication (presumably repatented, since Paraflex was around since the 1990s), my insurance covered its generic form, chlorzoxazone. In my experience, this is not a medication that is going to alter your mental state or give a drowsy effect; I do notice significantly reduced muscle spasm activity when taking it and none of the negative effects so common with other medications of its class. It does exactly what is expected and no unwanted side effects for me."

For Muscle Spasm "I have been taking this medication now for 2 weeks. It is, by far, the best muscle relaxant I have tried. All the others made me drowsy, unable to think straight, and not able to work. I have had extensive pain in my neck and lower back due to MS and Fibromyalgia. They have given me everything in the last 16 years but this has worked best for me. I really wish my doctor had prescribed this for me earlier. The quality of life really does go up when you don't feel like you are turning to stone."

Lorzone (chlorzoxazone) for Muscle Spasm "I was prescribed this medication in a dosage of 500 mg for severe back spasms that kept me from walking. It allowed me to walk a little bit longer before the pain kicked in. I rated it low because it mildly affected the spasms/pain while making me immediately sleepy."

For Muscle Spasm "Been taking this since initially hurting back in a car accident 10 years ago, am now a senior citizen. Sometimes works as well as Vicodin pain pill. I love this product. Stops the back and leg muscle spasms. Hard to live without this product. Little to no side effects. I take it in the morning and at bedtime to prevent muscle spasms - it works for me. Besides bulged L4 and L5 discs in lower back, I have sciatica on the right side, also DDD, arthritis, restless leg syndrome (I take gabapentin for latter). I tried Flexeril, which made me feel like puking and drowsy. When I changed doctors, no thanks. Soma was too strong, could not function, slurred my words, could not walk, stand. Seriously stopped the muscle spasms in back, sides, and legs. My insurance with Wellcare/Staywell."

For Muscle Spasm "I used to take Flexeril for back pain until I found a doctor who thinks outside the box. He prescribed this to me, and it's been wonderful! No bad side effects, a little tiredness in the beginning, but other than that, nothing. It takes the spasms away. Almost a miracle drug for me! I take 500 mg 3 times a day."

For Muscle Spasm "My migraines were getting worse in grad school, and the medications weren't touching the pain. I was diagnosed with cluster headaches and given this medication, and now my life is almost completely headache-free. Also, I am lucky enough to not suffer any negative side effects!"

For Muscle Spasm "This medication is GREAT! It really helped my frequent migraines from 15 a month down to maybe 4-5. There's an issue with my neck, still to be determined, and it apparently causes a lot of tension in my upper back, shoulder, neck, and even head. I initially had a little drowsiness with this medication; still less than baclofen and tizanidine. I kept on taking it, and now I take 3-4 doses a day with no problems. I don't even notice I'm taking it! As a side note, I have RSD/CRPS in my shoulder and take OxyContin and oxycodone regularly. I really like the Lorzone because it does NOT intensify the drowsiness that sometimes can occur with narcotics. I'm not sure if that's normal in all people, or if I've built up a tolerance over a year."

For Muscle Spasm "Like everyone else I was on Soma for my muscle spasm and pain then my doctor said he couldn’t prescribe me Soma anymore which I thought was the craziest thing ever! Now reading this I see why but it’s not an opioid and the ONLY muscle relaxer so far that has helped and worked for me! These chlorzoxazone 500 mg are such garbage trash! Took 1 waited 2 hours nothing happened - I was in so much pain and.....NOTHING! I will be trying a 4th muscle relaxer now all because they can’t prescribe the one drug that actually worked and helped! Why is this even happening. I am beyond frustrated, so annoyed and in terrible pain"

Parafon Forte DSC (chlorzoxazone) for Muscle Spasm "I have severe muscle spasms and muscle pain due to spinal conditions and neuropathy. This medication has given me more relief than I have had in a very long time. I do get headaches sometimes when I take it. Well worth the relief it gives."

Parafon Forte DSC (chlorzoxazone) for Muscle Spasm "1984-1988 had migraine headaches that seemed to part my head, with symptoms being only on one side of my head, such as a runny nose, watering eye, one bloodshot eye, and one temple throbbing. Lasted for many hours and would reappear in minutes or hours. After taking Parafon Forte three times, I haven't had a headache since."
