cephalexin for Bacterial Infection: After very minor foot surgury, I was put on 500 mg Cephalexin 4 times per day for a week. After 4 days my digestive system went septic and I had to quit the medication. I seldom take even over-the-counter drugs and have never had a reaction this severe to an antibiotic before. I thought I would get back to normal after a week but after 3 more weeks my digestive system has not imporved. I have scheduled an appointment with another doctor in hopes of regaining my normal health.

Keflex (cephalexin) for Bladder Infection: I usually never have side effects from antibiotics, but I had moderate dizziness and nausea. The nausea is not bad enough to send me to bed all day, but it does interfere with my daily schedule and leaves me extremely worn out and fatigued. It is frustrating. I have to take it four times a day for ten days.

cephalexin for Skin Infection: I've been taking this medication for about 4 days now. It's done an excellent job dispursing the infection below my tooth and behind my eardrum. The condition was very painful at one point and I hardly notice an issue now.

cephalexin for Bacterial Infection: I am currently using this medication to fight a staph infection. I'm not sure how I got it but it seemed to start from a bug bite of some sort. The infection was the size of a golf ball and had lightening streaks running up my arm. The doctor had to cut open my arm and clean out the pus. Well it's been about a week and the infection has cleared up. Cephalexin seemed to work very well. I have no side effects and I'm feeling great.

Keflex (cephalexin) for Skin Infection: I get recurring cases of impetigo and Keflex is always my go-to drug. Keflex clears up the infection quickly, and I've never experienced any side-effects, even if I take it on an empty stomach. Highly recommended!

cephalexin for Bacterial Infection: I had to take 250 mg of Cephalexin 5 times a day for 5 weeks because a pitbull attacked me. I got bit on my nose and foot. I needed to have 3 stitches on my nose and 20 on my foot - it wasn't fun but Cephalexin helped a lot because it killed the bactiria and stopped the pain. I am only 11 years old.

Keflex (cephalexin) for Bacterial Infection: I was prescribed Keflex for an infection that occurred after root canal went bad. Evidently the previous dentist had not been able to successfully remove all of the nerve and pulp and over time an infection resulted.
Keflex was well tolerated by me and helped to reduce the swelling within the gum until I was able to have a root canal retreatment in order to remove the rest of the nerve and pulp.
The rating that I provided is due to the fact that this medication required 4 doses daily which I felt there must have been some other medication available that required less commitment. Still, it did work and I would take it again if prescribed.

cephalexin for Skin Infection: I get blurry vision and mild headaches when I take cephalexin. But I get golf ball size cysts on my face and cephalexin really helps. I just had one developing and started taking it before it got out of control; helped so much. I can at least still go to work.

cephalexin for Skin Infection: I had cellulitis on my lower leg. I was prescribed Cephalexin 250 mg tabs four times a day for 10 days. I saw mild relief at the end of day 2 and by day 5 the infection was on its way down (less swollen, less hot, less sensitive). I continued the medication through day 10 and it did not return. I did not have any headaches, swollen joints, etc. that others reported. I am allergic to Penicillin but do not have cross sensitivity to cephalosporins.

cephalexin for Skin Infection: I experienced muscle pain in my arm; they felt very tired and sore. I stopped taking the cephalexin after 4 days and my skin infection came back. I started taking it again after missing one day and the infection went away again but the next morning my neck and shoulders were very sore and it hurt to move.

Keflex (cephalexin) for Bladder Infection: It helped in getting rid of my bladder infection but I was out in the sun for half the day doing some work outside, and I got horribly burnt and a bad sun rash. So just try to avoid the sun while on this medication.

cephalexin for Bacterial Infection: 19 year old male was taking this medication for relief of tonsillitis. After 2 days had an allergic reaction, lips started to swell, throat was significantly worse, swollen to the point of not being able to talk. Went to Urgent Care and they advised him to stop and prescribed an alternative antibiotic.
