Can I use amoxicillin to cure bacterial vaginosis?

Amoxicillin may help to a ceratin extent but is not totally useful for treatment of bacterial vaginitis.
Bacterial Vaginitis occurs due to an increase in the number of several types of anaerobic bacteria, which are normally present in the vagina.
Metronidazole seems to be the most effective treatment for anaerobic bacteria
