Each bag provides ≥100 g of bovine IgG (> 20% IgG). This product is natural bovine colostrum.

All product must be weighed. Provides ≥100 g per dose of Bovine IgG (>20% IgG) and is natural bovine colostrum.

Land O Lakes Colostrum Replacement Indications

To replace or supplement maternal colostrum as an aid in the treatment of Failure of Passive Transfer (FPT) in newborn calves.

Directions

16.6 oz - Use a whisk or electric mixer to mix the powder into hot water (110 to 120°F or 43 to 49°C). Feed the calf by nipple bottle or esophageal tube as soon as possible after birth. Provide free choice water at all times.

TO REPLACE MATERNAL COLOSTRUM:

a) If feeding by nipple, feed a minimum of 1 bag (16.6 oz) or 2 level scoops (16.6 oz) of powder into 4 cups (1 quart) of water.

b) If feeding by esophageal feeder, feed a minimum of 1.5 bags (24.9 oz or 6 cups of powder) or 3 level scoops (24.9 oz) of powder into 6 cups (1 1/2 quarts) of water.

37.5 lb - Mix the powder with water (110 to 120°F or 43 to 49°C) and feed within 2 hours of birth. Calves should receive a second feeding of colostrum within 8 hours.

Feeding additional amounts provide health benefits and is recommended when calves are stressed or disease incidence is high.

STORE OUT OF DIRECT SUNLIGHT IN A DRY LOCATION AT OR BELOW 77°F OR 25°C.

Calves fed this product at the recommended levels (1.55 lb by esophageal feeder) achieved average serum lgG levels of 14.5 mg/mL and average serum total protein levels of 5.4 g/dL.

Storage

16.6 oz - Store in a dry location at room temperature (no higher than 72°F or 22°C).

In an efficacy study filed with the Center for Veterinary Biologics of the USDA, calves fed this product at the recommended levels (24.9 oz by esophageal feeder) achieved average serum IgG levels of 14.5 g/dL and average serum total protein levels of 5.4 g/dL.
