Ear Pain in Infants and Children

Changes in air pressure, which happen when going from high places to low ones or from low to high, can damage the delicate hair cells in the middle ear. This can affect hearing and/or cause ear pain. Call your doctor if your child's symptoms last longer than two days or if they get worse.
