Step 4: Read and complete the decision guide to learn more about your symptoms.
Ear Pain in Infants and Children
Your child does not have a runny or stuffy nose or other cold or flu symptoms. Colds and flu can cause congestion in the nose and/or fluid in the ears, which can cause ear pain.
Sometimes children will have ear discomfort that feels more like there is something in the ear and/or diminished hearing.
Is your child complaining that he can't hear that well or that his ears feel "blocked" or "plugged"?
