Trazodone (trazedone) is a tetracyclic antidepressant. It is thought to elevate mood levels by increasing the activity of one of the brain chemicals (serotonin), that may become unbalanced and cause depression.
Trazodone (trazedone) is used to treat depression. Trazodone (trazedone) may also be used for relief of an anxiety disorder (eg, sleeplessness, tension), chronic pain. Trazodone (trazedone) may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor.
