Drug Imprints

A pill imprint code is used to uniquely identify all solid oral dosage forms, such as tablets, capsules, and pills. An imprint code consists of alphanumeric text that is embossed, debossed, engraved, or printed onto solid oral dosage forms. Pills may also have other identifying markings, such as trademark letters, marks, symbols, and internal/external cutouts. Imprint codes are a legal requirement of the United States Food and Drug Administration.

The Drugs.com Pill Identifier tool is the best way to find a matching pill for a given imprint. Otherwise, browse the alphabetical list of imprint codes below.
