Soaanz (torsemide) is a loop diuretic indicated for the treatment of edema associated with heart failure or renal disease in adults.
- Soaanz is an improved formulation of the approved loop diuretic torsemide intended to reduce excessive urination. Soaanz has an extended duration of peak effect and takes a longer time to achieve peak effect compared to previous torsemide formulations.
- Soaanz tablets are taken orally once daily.
- Soaanz can cause lightheadedness and possibly syncope. This can happen during the first days of therapy, or when there is a drop in blood pressure due to inadequate fluid intake, excessive perspiration, diarrhea, or vomiting.
