Reason for the Shortage
    • Ascend launched morphine 15 mg and 30 mg immediate-release tablets in May 2025.
    • Hikma did not provide a reason for the shortage.
    • SpecGX has not provided us with availability information.
    • Upsher-Smith discontinued morphine immediate-release tablets.

Estimated Resupply Dates

    • Hikma has morphine 15 mg immediate-release tablets in 100 count unit-dose packages on back order and the company estimates a release date in late-August to early-September 2025. The 30 mg tablets in 100 count unit-dose packages are on back order and the company estimates a release date in mid-September 2025. The 15 mg tablets and 30 mg tablets in 100 count bottles are on allocation.
