Reason for the Shortage
    • American Regent is not marketing dopamine injection.
    • Baxter had dopamine on shortage due to manufacturing delays.
    • Pfizer states the shortage is due to manufacturing delays. The dopamine 200 mg/250 mL and 400 mg/500 mL premixed bags were discontinued in August 2017.

Estimated Resupply Dates

    • Pfizer has dopamine 40 mg/mL 10 mL vials on back order and the company estimates a release date of 2019. The 400 mg/250 mL bags are on back order and the company estimates a release date of October 2018. The 800 mg/500 mL bags are available in limited supply. The 40 mg/mL 5 mL vials are on back order and the company estimates a release date of November 2018.
