Drug Interactions between Tegsedi and temsirolimus
This report displays the potential drug interactions for the following 2 drugs:
- Tegsedi (inotersen)
- temsirolimus
Interactions between your drugs
temsirolimus inotersen
Applies to: temsirolimus and Tegsedi (inotersen)
Inotersen may cause kidney problems including glomerulonephritis, which is an inflammatory condition of the kidney. Glomerulonephritis may result in kidney failure, and combining it with other medications that can also affect the kidney such as temsirolimus may increase that risk. Talk to your doctor if you have any questions or concerns. Your doctor may be able to prescribe alternatives that do not interact, or you may need a dose adjustment or more frequent monitoring to safely use both medications. You should seek immediate medical attention if you develop signs and symptoms that may suggest glomerulonephritis such as puffiness or swelling in the face, hands, or feet; new onset or worsening shortness of breath or coughing; blood in the urine or brown urine; foamy urine (protein in the urine); and decreased urination. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
Drug and food interactions
temsirolimus food
Applies to: temsirolimus
If you are receiving therapy with temsirolimus you should avoid grapefruits and grapefruit juice. Grapefruit can raise the levels of temsirolimus in your body and lead to dangerous side effects. Do not increase or decrease the amount of grapefruit products in your diet without first talking to your doctor.
