Interactions between your drugs
tetanus toxoid budesonide
Applies to: tetanus toxoid and Symbicort (budesonide / formoterol)
If you are currently being treated or have recently been treated with budesonide, you should let your doctor know before receiving tetanus toxoid. Depending on the dose and length of time you have been on budesonide, you may have a reduced response to the vaccine. In some situations, your doctor may want to delay vaccination to give your body time to recover from the effects of budesonide therapy. If you have recently been vaccinated with tetanus toxoid, your doctor may choose to postpone treatment with budesonide for a couple of weeks or more. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
budesonide formoterol
Applies to: Symbicort (budesonide / formoterol) and Symbicort (budesonide / formoterol)
Information for this minor interaction is available on the professional version.
Drug and food interactions
budesonide food
Applies to: Symbicort (budesonide / formoterol)
You should avoid the regular consumption of large amounts of grapefruits and grapefruit juice while taking budesonide. Do not increase or decrease the amount of grapefruit products in your diet without first talking to your doctor.
