Drug Interactions between Sine-Aid IB and Ticlid
This report displays the potential drug interactions for the following 2 drugs:
- Sine-Aid IB (ibuprofen/pseudoephedrine)
- Ticlid (ticlopidine)
Interactions between your drugs
ibuprofen ticlopidine
Applies to: Sine-Aid IB (ibuprofen / pseudoephedrine) and Ticlid (ticlopidine)
Using ibuprofen together with ticlopidine can cause you to bleed more easily. Call your doctor promptly if you have any unusual bleeding or bruising, vomiting, blood in your urine or stools, headache, dizziness, or weakness. You should also avoid any other over-the-counter NSAID products. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
Drug and food interactions
ticlopidine food
Applies to: Ticlid (ticlopidine)
Food can enhance the levels of ticlopidine in your body. Take ticlopidine with food or just after eating to lessen stomach upset. This will make it easier for your body to absorb the medication.
ibuprofen food
Applies to: Sine-Aid IB (ibuprofen / pseudoephedrine)
Ask your doctor before using ibuprofen together with ethanol. Do not drink alcohol while taking ibuprofen. Alcohol can increase your risk of stomach bleeding caused by ibuprofen. Call your doctor at once if you have symptoms of bleeding in your stomach or intestines. This includes black, bloody, or tarry stools, or coughing up blood or vomit that looks like coffee grounds. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
pseudoephedrine food
Applies to: Sine-Aid IB (ibuprofen / pseudoephedrine)
Consumer information for this interaction is not currently available.
MONITOR: Coadministration of two or more sympathomimetic agents may increase the risk of adverse effects such as nervousness, irritability, and increased heart rate. Central nervous system (CNS) stimulants, particularly amphetamines, can potentiate the adrenergic response to vasopressors and other sympathomimetic agents. Additive increases in blood pressure and heart rate may occur due to enhanced peripheral sympathetic activity.
MANAGEMENT: Caution is advised if two or more sympathomimetic agents are coadministered. Pulse and blood pressure should be closely monitored.
