Edit list (add/remove drugs)

Interactions between your drugs

Major

magnesium oxide sotorasib

Applies to: Prepopik (citric acid/magnesium oxide/sodium picosulfate) and sotorasib

By reducing the acidity level in the stomach, medications like magnesium oxide may interfere with the absorption of sotorasib into the bloodstream and reduce its effectiveness. It is generally best to avoid using these medications together when possible. However, if you have no other alternatives for treatment, it is recommended that you take sotorasib 4 hours before or 10 hours after magnesium oxide to help minimize the impact of the interaction. Some prescription and over-the-counter medications may also contain antacids or other agents that can neutralize acid. You should check the ingredients of all medications you take to see if they may contain antacids. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions or concerns. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.

Drug and food interactions

Moderate

sodium picosulfate food

Applies to: Prepopik (citric acid/magnesium oxide/sodium picosulfate)

Oral medications may not be properly absorbed when they are taken within one hour before starting sodium picosulfate for bowel cleansing. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist to see if you should adjust the dosing schedule of your other medications before you begin bowel cleansing treatment. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
