- NeoProfen (ibuprofen)
Interactions between your drugs
Applies to: NeoProfen (ibuprofen) and pemetrexed
Using PEMEtrexed together with ibuprofen may increase the effects of PEMEtrexed. Contact your doctor if you experience fever, chills, body aches, flu symptoms, mouth sores or white patches, and severe diarrhea. PEMEtrexed can lower the blood cells that help your body fight infections. This can make it easier for you to bleed from an injury or get sick from being around others who are ill. To be sure your blood cells do not get too low, your blood will need to be tested on a regular basis. If your doctor does prescribe these medications together, you may need a dose adjustment or special test to safely use both medications. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
