Interactions between your drugs

Moderate

phenyl salicylate PEMEtrexed

Applies to: MSP-Blu (hyoscyamine / methenamine / methylene blue / phenyl salicylate) and pemetrexed

Using PEMEtrexed together with phenyl salicylate may increase the effects of PEMEtrexed. Contact your doctor if you experience fever, chills, body aches, flu symptoms, mouth sores or white patches, and severe diarrhea. PEMEtrexed can lower the blood cells that help your body fight infections. This can make it easier for you to bleed from an injury or get sick from being around others who are ill. To be sure your blood cells do not get too low, your blood will need to be tested on a regular basis. If your doctor does prescribe these medications together, you may need a dose adjustment or special test to safely use both medications. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.

Drug and food interactions

Moderate

hyoscyamine food

Applies to: MSP-Blu (hyoscyamine / methenamine / methylene blue / phenyl salicylate)

Ask your doctor before using hyoscyamine together with ethanol. Use alcohol cautiously. Alcohol may increase drowsiness and dizziness while you are taking hyoscyamine. You should be warned not to exceed recommended dosages and to avoid activities requiring mental alertness. If your doctor prescribes these medications together, you may need a dose adjustment to safely take this combination. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
