Using morphine liposomal together with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) like methylene blue is not recommended. Using these medications together can increase or add to the side effects of morphine liposomal. This can cause extreme drowsiness, pinpoint pupils, confusion, cold and clammy skin, weak pulse, shallow breathing, fainting, or even coma. Check with your healthcare provider before you start using morphine liposomal if you have been receiving methylene blue. You should wait 14 days after stopping an MAOI before you start using morphine liposomal. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
