MiFEPRIStone may significantly increase the blood levels of rimegepant. This may increase side effects such as nausea, indigestion, and abdominal pain or discomfort. Talk to your doctor if you have any questions or concerns. Your doctor may be able to prescribe alternatives that do not interact, or you may need a dose adjustment or more frequent monitoring to safely use both medications. Contact your doctor if your condition changes or you experience increased side effects. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.

Applies to: mifepristone
Food increases the blood levels of this medication. If you are only receiving one or two doses, you may take it without regard to meals. However, if you are receiving the medication for long-term treatment, you should take it with food at the same time everyday to maintain consistent blood levels and effects. Avoid consuming grapefruit or grapefruit juice during treatment, as it may increase blood levels of the medication to undesirable levels and increase the risk of side effects, including headache, dizziness, fatigue, nausea, vomiting, cramping, diarrhea, hypokalemia (low blood potassium), fluid retention, swelling, and high blood pressure. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have questions on how to take this or other medications you are prescribed. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
rimegepant food
Applies to: Nurtec ODT (rimegepant)
If you are receiving therapy with rimegepant you may want to avoid the regular consumption of large amounts of grapefruits and grapefruit juice. Grapefruit can raise the levels of rimegepant in your body and lead to increased side effects. If grapefruit or grapefruit juice is consumed along with rimegepant, the manufacturer recommends avoiding a second dose of rimegepant within 48 hours. Talk to your doctor if you have any questions or concerns. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
