This report displays the potential drug interactions for the following 2 drugs:
- fenoldopam
- levobunolol ophthalmic
Interactions between your drugs
levobunolol ophthalmic fenoldopam
Applies to: levobunolol ophthalmic and fenoldopam
Before starting fenoldopam, let your doctor know if you are currently receiving treatment with levobunolol ophthalmic. Fenoldopam can increase pressure in the eye, which may worsen glaucoma and other eye conditions associated with elevated pressure for which levobunolol ophthalmic is intended to treat. In addition, since the medication in levobunolol ophthalmic can be absorbed into the blood, there is a risk of your blood pressure dropping too much when combined with fenoldopam. While fenoldopam alone can occasionally cause excessively low blood pressure, medications like the one in levobunolol ophthalmic can blunt the body's normal response to keep the blood pressure from getting too low, such as by increasing heart rate. You will need to be closely monitored by your doctor if these medications must be used together. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
