Drug Interactions between FBL Kit and penbutolol
This report displays the potential drug interactions for the following 2 drugs:
- FBL Kit (baclofen/flurbiprofen/lidocaine topical)
- penbutolol
Interactions between your drugs
lidocaine penbutolol
Applies to: FBL Kit (baclofen / flurbiprofen / lidocaine topical) and penbutolol
Using lidocaine together with penbutolol may increase the effects of lidocaine. This can cause drowsiness, mental status changes, and a decrease in heart rate and blood pressure. If your doctor does prescribe these medications together, you may need a dose adjustment or special test to safely use both medications. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
flurbiprofen penbutolol
Applies to: FBL Kit (baclofen / flurbiprofen / lidocaine topical) and penbutolol
If you use penbutolol for the treatment of high blood pressure, talk to your doctor before using it together with flurbiprofen. Combining these medications may reduce the effects of penbutolol in lowering your blood pressure, especially if you use flurbiprofen frequently or regularly (for example, to treat arthritis or chronic pain). You may need a dose adjustment or more frequent monitoring by your doctor to safely use both medications. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
lidocaine baclofen
Applies to: FBL Kit (baclofen / flurbiprofen / lidocaine topical) and FBL Kit (baclofen / flurbiprofen / lidocaine topical)
Using lidocaine together with baclofen may increase side effects such as dizziness, drowsiness, confusion, and difficulty concentrating. Some people, especially the elderly, may also experience impairment in thinking, judgment, and motor coordination. You should avoid or limit the use of alcohol while being treated with these medications. Also avoid activities requiring mental alertness such as driving or operating hazardous machinery until you know how the medications affect you. Talk to your doctor if you have any questions or concerns. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
penbutolol baclofen
Applies to: penbutolol and FBL Kit (baclofen / flurbiprofen / lidocaine topical)
Penbutolol and baclofen may have additive effects in lowering your blood pressure. You may experience headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, and/or changes in pulse or heart rate. These side effects are most likely to be seen at the beginning of treatment, following a dose increase, or when treatment is restarted after an interruption. Let your doctor know if you develop these symptoms and they do not go away after a few days or they become troublesome. Avoid driving or operating hazardous machinery until you know how the medications affect you, and use caution when getting up from a sitting or lying position. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
Drug and food interactions
lidocaine food
Applies to: FBL Kit (baclofen / flurbiprofen / lidocaine topical)
Grapefruit juice may increase the blood levels of lidocaine, which may increase the risk of side effects such as low blood pressure, slow heart rate, irregular heart rhythm, difficulty breathing and convulsions. Cigarette smoking may reduce the blood levels of lidocaine, which may make the medication less effective. It is best to avoid smoking during lidocaine therapy. Consuming cruciferous vegetables (e.G., broccoli, brussels sprouts) may also reduce the blood levels of lidocaine. Talk to a healthcare professional if you have any questions or concerns. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
baclofen food
Applies to: FBL Kit (baclofen / flurbiprofen / lidocaine topical)
Alcohol can increase the nervous system side effects of baclofen such as dizziness, drowsiness, and difficulty concentrating. Some people may also experience impairment in thinking and judgment. You should avoid or limit the use of alcohol while being treated with baclofen. Do not use more than the recommended dose of baclofen, and avoid activities requiring mental alertness such as driving or operating hazardous machinery until you know how the medication affects you. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions or concerns.
flurbiprofen food
Applies to: FBL Kit (baclofen / flurbiprofen / lidocaine topical)
Ask your doctor before using flurbiprofen together with ethanol. Do not drink alcohol while taking flurbiprofen. Alcohol can increase your risk of stomach bleeding caused by flurbiprofen. Call your doctor at once if you have symptoms of bleeding in your stomach or intestines. This includes black, bloody, or tarry stools, or coughing up blood or vomit that looks like coffee grounds. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
penbutolol food
Applies to: penbutolol
Penbutolol and ethanol may have additive effects in lowering your blood pressure. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
penbutolol food
Applies to: penbutolol
Using penbutolol together with multivitamin with minerals may decrease the effects of penbutolol. Separate the administration times of penbutolol and multivitamin with minerals by at least 2 hours. If your doctor does prescribe these medications together, you may need a dose adjustment or special test to safely use both medications. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
