Interactions between your drugs

Major

eculizumab crovalimab

Applies to: eculizumab and crovalimab

Treatment with C5 inhibitors like crovalimab and eculizumab may cause immune system reactions known as type III hypersensitivity reactions. If you are switching from eculizumab to crovalimab, or vice versa, you might experience these reactions. In addition, if you are switching from eculizumab to crovalimab, your doctor will monitor you closely for 30 days after the switch to watch for signs of type III hypersensitivity reactions. They may also delay starting the new treatment to reduce this risk. Seek medical attention if you develop symptoms such as joint pain, muscle or bone pain, skin rash, itching, headache, kidney issues, numbness or tingling in your hands and feet, fever, fatigue, or stomach problems. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.

Drug and food interactions

No alcohol/food interactions were found. However, this does not necessarily mean no interactions exist. Always consult your healthcare provider.

Therapeutic duplication warnings

Therapeutic duplication is the use of more than one medicine from the same drug category or therapeutic class to treat the same condition. This can be intentional in cases where drugs with similar actions are used together for demonstrated therapeutic benefit. It can also be unintentional in cases where a patient has been treated by more than one doctor, or had prescriptions filled at more than one pharmacy, and can have potentially adverse consequences.
