Pseudoephedrine may interfere with blood glucose control and reduce the effectiveness of exenatide and other diabetic medications. Monitor your blood sugar levels closely. You may need a dose adjustment of your diabetic medications during and after treatment with pseudoephedrine. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
Drug and food interactions

Alcohol can increase the nervous system side effects of dexbrompheniramine such as dizziness, drowsiness, and difficulty concentrating. Some people may also experience impairment in thinking and judgment. You should avoid or limit the use of alcohol while being treated with dexbrompheniramine. Do not use more than the recommended dose of dexbrompheniramine, and avoid activities requiring mental alertness such as driving or operating hazardous machinery until you know how the medication affects you. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions or concerns.
Applies to: exenatide
You should take exenatide twice a day, at any time within the 60 minutes (1 hour) before your morning and evening meals, or before the two main meals of the day, and at least 6 hours or more apart. You may experience decreased absorption of exenatide in the presence of food or other medications. Your other medications should be administered at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after your exenatide injection.
