Interactions between your drugs

Major

clarithromycin brincidofovir

Applies to: Omeclamox-Pak (amoxicillin / clarithromycin / omeprazole) and brincidofovir

Clarithromycin may increase the blood levels and side effects of brincidofovir. Talk to your doctor if you have any questions or concerns. Your doctor may be able to prescribe alternatives that do not interact. If you do need to take both medications, you may lessen the risk and severity of interaction by taking clarithromycin at least 3 hours after brincidofovir. You may also require more frequent monitoring by your doctor to safely use both medications. Contact your doctor if your condition changes or you experience increased side effects such as diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, dark urine, pale stools, and/or yellowing of the skin or eyes. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
