Applies to: trientine and B-Nexa (calcium / folic acid / ginger / pyridoxine)
Ask your doctor before using calcium phosphate, tribasic together with trientine. Using mineral supplements or mineral-containing products may decrease the effects of trientine and should not be used if you are treated with trientine. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
Drug and food interactions

Take trientine on an empty stomach 1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal and at least one hour apart from any other food, drug, or milk. You may experience reduced absorption of trientine in the presence of food or milk. The capsules should be swallowed whole with water and should not be opened or chewed.
