celecoxib everolimus

Applies to: amlodipine / celecoxib and everolimus

Everolimus may cause kidney problems, and combining it with other medications that can also affect the kidney such as celecoxib may increase that risk. You may need a dose adjustment or more frequent monitoring by your doctor to safely use both medications. Contact your doctor if you experience symptoms that may suggest kidney damage such as nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, increased or decreased urination, sudden weight gain or weight loss, fluid retention, swelling, shortness of breath, muscle cramps, tiredness, weakness, dizziness, confusion, and irregular heart rhythm. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.

amLODIPine everolimus

Applies to: amlodipine / celecoxib and everolimus

Using amLODIPine together with everolimus may increase the risk of angioedema, a condition associated with swelling of the face, eyes, lips, tongue, throat, and occasionally also the hands and feet. Angioedema can occur with the first dose of medication or after many doses. You should discontinue the medications and seek immediate medical attention if you develop symptoms of angioedema or have difficulty swallowing or breathing. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.

Grapefruit juice can increase the blood levels and effects of everolimus. You should not drink grapefruit juice or eat grapefruits during your treatment with everolimus. Orange juice is not expected to interact.

Applies to: amlodipine / celecoxib

AmLODIPine and ethanol (alcohol) may have additive effects in lowering your blood pressure. You may experience headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, and/or changes in pulse or heart rate. These side effects are most likely to be seen at the beginning of treatment, following a dose increase, or when treatment is restarted after an interruption. Let your doctor know if you develop these symptoms and they do not go away after a few days or they become troublesome. Avoid driving or operating hazardous machinery until you know how the medications affect you, and use caution when getting up from a sitting or lying position. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.

Using amLODIPine together with multivitamin with minerals can decrease the effects of amLODIPine. Talk with your doctor before using amLODIPine and multivitamin with minerals together. You may need a dose adjustment or need your blood pressure checked more often if you take both medications. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
