Copanlisib may interfere with blood glucose control and reduce the effectiveness of exenatide and other diabetic medications. Monitor your blood sugar levels closely. You may need a dose adjustment of your diabetic medications during and after treatment with copanlisib. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.

You should take exenatide twice a day, at any time within the 60 minutes (1 hour) before your morning and evening meals, or before the two main meals of the day, and at least 6 hours or more apart. You may experience decreased absorption of exenatide in the presence of food or other medications. Your other medications should be administered at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after your exenatide injection.
copanlisib food
Applies to: Aliqopa (copanlisib)
Grapefruit juice can increase the blood levels of copanlisib. This may increase side effects such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, mouth sores, high blood sugar, high blood pressure, lung or breathing problems, severe skin reactions, and impaired bone marrow function resulting in low numbers of different types of blood cells. You may also be more likely to develop anemia, bleeding problems, or infections due to low blood cell counts. You should avoid the consumption of grapefruit and grapefruit juice during treatment with copanlisib. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have questions on this or other medications you are prescribed. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
