The use of cilostazol during the first 3 months of treatment with abrocitinib is not recommended. Abrocitinib may cause serious bleeding complications and using it with medications that can affect platelet count or function such as cilostazol may further increase this risk. This interaction does not apply to low dose aspirin (81 mg/day or less). Talk to your doctor if you have any questions or concerns. Your doctor may be able to prescribe alternatives that do not interact. You should seek immediate medical attention if you experience any unusual bleeding or bruising or have other signs and symptoms of bleeding such as dizziness; lightheadedness; red or black, tarry stools; coughing up or vomiting fresh or dried blood that looks like coffee grounds. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.

Take cilostazol on an empty stomach 1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal unless otherwise directed by your doctor. Food may reduce the absorption of cilostazol. Taking cilostazol on an empty stomach will make it easier for your body to absorb the medication. If you are receiving therapy with cilostazol you should avoid grapefruits and grapefruit juice. Grapefruit can raise the levels of cilostazol in your body and lead to dangerous side effects. You may experience headache, dizziness, chest pain, feeling short of breath, and swelling of your ankles or feet. Call your doctor at once if you have any of these symptoms.

Abrocitinib may be taken with or without food. Smoking during treatment with abrocitinib may increase your risk of serious cardiovascular events and of developing malignancies. Tell your doctor if you are a current or past smoker. Talk to your doctor if you have any questions or concerns. Get emergency help right away if you develop any symptoms of a heart attack or stroke during treatment with abrocitinib, including severe tightness, pain, pressure, or heaviness in your chest, neck, or jaw; weakness in one side of your body; slurred speech; shortness of breath or feeling lightheaded. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
