Why is dr. Prescribing Revlimid if Velcade has less side effects and works better?

I was just diagnosed with multiple myeloma and dr. Has prescribed Revlimid with Dexamethasone , but from what I read that combo can have horrible side effects, but people seem to get better results with Velcade and less side effect.

I want inquiry for the following items; please guide me !?

i have a package of velcade at home kept in the refrigerator , i left town for 28 hours when i got back , i found no electricity , our town situated in upper Egypt where weather range from 23c up to 40c how could i tell if it is still active to take it??

I need a heart and lung transplant, and my doctors are wanting to use velcade for help in desensitizing my antibodies. Has any one else had this used in this way? We have to get medicare to approve the drug for this use. Thanks
