So I was prescribed Tri-previfem, I started my pack on a Sunday but I finished my period the day before which was a saturday. Is it still affective? Did I mess up?

I've been on tri previfem for going on 1.5 years and usually my period last 4-5 days with a moderate/heavy flow. I'm concerned because this month my period is unusually light (not spotting just lighter than usual.) Could that mean somethings wrong or I'm just having a light period?

I want to skip my period for this month because I'm going on vacation. I heard if you take the three weeks of the active pills then immediately start a new pack rather than take the placebo pills that you will skip your period. Is this true?
