I want to skip my period for this month because I'm going on vacation. I heard if you take the three weeks of the active pills then immediately start a new pack rather than take the placebo pills that you will skip your period. Is this true?

I've been taking Previfem for about 6 months, and for the last 2, I have had spotting everyday the week before I start my period. Is this common with this drug? Usually the spotting starts on the first day of the third week, or the week before I start the inactive pill.
