Colchicine first doze is 1.2mg followed by 0.6 mg after 12 hours and then once daily at 0.6mg. Allopurinol given at 100mg daily. The combination was intended for severe gout attack. What should be avoided when taking this drug combination?

works but gives me diarrhea. GI doctor gave me a prescription for colchicine which is a gout medication but he seems to feel that this med would help with my chronic constipation. I didn't go in as soon as the pain started I had never been diagnosed before. I went in on day 2. This is day 3 1/2 and the agony is still there. The swelling is still there and the heat is still there. I'm still crying with the pain. How long till it goes away? Should I see the dr again ...
